I went into one of our local shops on Friday and bought a beautiful 100% cashmere v neck sweater. It is navy blue and although it is gents jumper when i tried it on it looked fine. Wore it today with navy jeans and it looks perfect. So soft yet so warm and only 4.00. When i googled the price of a new one 90-100pounds depending on the brand. Got to be my bargain of the year so far. smile

My favourite bargain is a Le Creuset fondue set for £5. The box was quite battered, but inside the set was unused with everything still wrapped in polythene. I suspect it was a wedding present or similar? ?

I used to buy in jumble sales charity shops and when a service wife in the ‘thrift’ shops where you could also sell items if they sold you got a percentage, my children’s toys were all bought and sold this way, from bikes downwards Then it went from jumble sales to car boots Twice in my life once when I was unemployed and now as a retiree I work. (sorry voluunteer but it is work) in charity shops and I LOVE it i work by choice in the children’s section and don’t have any small kids in my family any more so I don’t get first sight or anything but at the end of a shift I love to have a browse around and nearly always find something for the house garden or clothes and have had some crackers
