Good Morning Everyone,
Its a sort twilight morning this morning in brackley , dry but maybe a chill in the air.
The Chinese soup dish saga, I went into Sainsburys in Bicester and got a medium sized nibble dish not dissimilar to the soup bowl.
Tried it out last night it was great , the soup seem to taste better as well.

It's always reassuring to know that everyone else has to deal with the mundane.

At least it livened up the discussion a bit! ? ??
By the way, the weather here has been sunny and warm. I’ve done some washing, vacuumed, been shopping, now fitting a dashcam in my car.
If that has cheered someone up, I’m genuinely pleased; I can’t say it would do much for me though.
I’ll leave you all to it.

Oh dear! TiggyW, in like a lion, out like a lion.

I read this thread because it is gentle, kind and soothing. Some of the contributors are a bit more acerbic on other threads.

If I wan't to be shaken up I can always read News and Politics.

Crikey, that's a bit extreme, boat! grin

Was that the, "twiggyW", remark or the, "News and politics", one?

I am addicted to this thread and I'm not sure why. Do I really need to know that it's dark in Brackley or misty somewhere else? No but somehow it's all very reassuring.

MawBroon Sun 24-Feb-19 19:04:56

I don’t think it livened anything up TiggyW just highlighted how some people hate to see other people enjoying each other’s company.
Like when my little DGD broke up her big brothers’ jigsaw puzzle.
Choose your own naughty step - I understand one minute per year of age is the norm.

Oh Lord! At that rate I'll be there till Tuesday morning.

Better take the laptop with me so I can enjoy this thread (and non-expensive home made sandwiches and a flask).

Marydoll Sun 24-Feb-19 19:13:46

boat, I haven't noticed you before on this thread (welcome), but loved your lion comment! smile

MawBroon Sun 24-Feb-19 19:23:07

Not directed at you boat smile

boat Sun 24-Feb-19 19:28:20

Thanks Marydoll.

I haven't wanted to upset the dynamics of the thread by contributing but, just to fulfil expectations, I probably need to say that here in Nuneaton it was misty until about noon then the sun shone and it felt like it May. (Actually a bit worrying if you think about climate change) but that's not what this thread is for.

boat Sun 24-Feb-19 19:46:49

Not taken that way Maw

Marydoll Sun 24-Feb-19 20:00:00

I quite enjoy the banality of this thread. It's a haven, a nonthreatening place, where I can hide from all the stresses and problems of my world at the moment.
Decent, gentle folk, who care about each other. smile.

NanKate Sun 24-Feb-19 20:29:09

I agree with you 100% Mary. There is no obligation on you to join our friendly non threatening thread Tiggy. If you want argy bargy try joining one of the political threads.

From time to time we have contributors who try to sabotage this thread, none have succeeded so far.

Mapleleaf Sun 24-Feb-19 22:09:11

You're right, NanKate, they have, haven't they and they've been unsuccessful! Onwards and upwards, united we stand!??

Greenfinch Sun 24-Feb-19 22:24:37

I dont often contribute to this thread but I follow it most days and love reading about what everyone is doing.I feel I have got to know quite a few of you and like to share in your good times and bad times. I also enjoy going to GN meet ups and have made some good friends from them. Tomorrow I am going to one in Guildford which I am really looking forward to.Carry on contributing.
