Not being fully updated is worrying me. you lot are important peoples and I feel that I am neglecting you. There are umpteen unread emails and the messages keep coming through the post, together with cards and tokens of affection.I value every word of support and if I could, I would invite you all in to celebrate with bubbly and a slice of Baggs's banana loaf. I am so lucky to have your support. It hs in more ways than you can imagine. Bless you. I am sending individual gentle hugs. Soppy mare!

I am concerned about MacSporran- I hope he had a restful night. It must be a weight off your minds to have arrived home safely especially if you have horrid weather today in your neck of the woods.

Just one image of bruising. Strangely not painful. Having trapped a finger in a door or dropped a coal scuttle on a big toe, results in a hell of a lot more ouchies. That's the truth of the matter.
Postie delivered letter for "drop bot" surgery on April 3rd. Methinks I shall wait until I'm feeling very much stronger. I'm not a devil for punishment.

Charleygirl and all of MacSporran's ladies, he says to thank you. He feels very much better for us both being home. The housework can wait. Neither of us feels that dust and disarray matters a jot right now.

Have I thanked you lot for looking after our kitchen? Shame on me. It was such a treat to wander in to see it looking well cared for. Any offers of a few extra hands in my own kitchen would help somewhat. BUT we are not getting stressed about such inconsequentials. Life is far too precious.

I agree, that date for bot drop surgery is far too close and you must regain strength and MacSporran also before you embark on that. Anyway, I am assuming you will be having radiotherapy and/or chemo now that the main bit has been sorted.

Enjoy the weekend and do as little as possible- preferably nothing except keeping body and soul together by feeding yourselves.

It is a first soop that none of this lot were out of order once- I was amazed.

I'm sorry to hear Panache that your DH is in so much pain and they haven't found a satisfactory way to control it yet.

On a brighter note, thanks to all for the lovely photos. Seeing them reminds us of the memorable moments in our own lives.

Much as I expected of this one spirited lady .......our heartbeat in this Kitchen...........you are back hame Soop and McSporran.............just where you belong.
I may need to repeat or write in big black capitals though..........remember where you have been and what you have had done.............recovery is very much an up and down process nearly always,and many of you will readily agree on that................so certainly no bot surgery for a wee while, and more to the point..........PLEASE dear Soop do not go overdoing things, and believe me..............we in the Kitchen are big enough.,and old enough to survive!!!
However it is so important that you take time to recuperate,that...... if nothing else is being fair to your McSporran whom needs to rest himself after all the travelling, plus the time spent fretting over you.
So do play ball dear lady!!!
What a lovely family "get together",strapping young lads, and I am sure they too are now so relieved that you have returned home,one mission sort of complete!

Thinking very much of the ordeal,especially what must be going through your man`s mind dear Synonymous.This is no cut of a finger scenario but such a mammoth job to get your heads around and I feel so much for you both.So helpless in fact that there is nothing that we can truly offer to lighten the immense load.

Afternoon All. Our lodger has been safely delivered to her Dad’s house and we can relax a little now as we wait for him to return. I still get tense on motorways with young ones in the car. Daft or what?

I’m sure you will have been discharged with recovery instructions mentioning lots of rest soop so I won’t nag as I know you will be sensible, if for no other reason than to avoid the nagging . You’re exactly right, dust isn’t st all important. Just enjoy being together.

It’s hard to believe you aren’t oh so sore, delighted you are comfortable though. Your family photos have warmed the day for me, the love shines through.

I’m so sorry your husband continues to be in pain panache. It’s seriously horrible and somehow the gloomy weather makes pain worse.

I’ve been told the next step for me is a morphine patch. Trying to avoid that as I’m afraid of both dependency and losing the little bit of functioning brain I have. I’ve a (private) physio session on Monday to try to understand new issues with my left arm. Once I have the physio’s opinion I will be better armed (!) to see the GP and make specific treatment or diagnosis requests. This getting older lark isn’t for wimps but as my Dad would say worse things happen at sea than my situation.

Best be off, apparently homework help is needed. The dreaded apostrophe. Poor child has no chance .

An extremely sodden day in Buxton. While waiting for the bus home I glanced skywards and noticed a whole parliament of rooks take to the skies. That was wondrous in itself, but then they all literally hovered as if lost and looking for inspiration or a leader. They then gathered together and off they went to a tumultuous chatter. I am sure I was the only one who noticed. I feel I am living very much in the moment now and taking notice of all I can and drinking it in while I can.

soop and everyone else who needs tlc at the moment, there is the possibilty of a heated conservatory for gentle ladies (^and invited men^) ^to the next kitchen, which I see will be opening comparatively soon.
