Tomorrow is ironing duty day. I shall be back with you as soon as I return.Battery on Kindle is very low on juice. I shall charge the batteries and return to read through today's happenings mid evening.
Time to slip into my pj's and relax with dear MacSporran. He' s a real treasure. Back a little later. X

Glad you and MacS are safe home, Soop. Relax and look forward to the weekend with your lovely family!??(Oban!).

Fennel Tue 05-Mar-19 18:13:47

As Greyduster says.
To both of you xx.

soop another hospital trip is done and dusted. I do hope that surgery is the next week to get it over and done with. Lovely to be seeing your family so soon.

Mamissimo if the roofers disturb Honey she can come and rest here any day- what a beautiful girl she is.

Tara is not very happy today. She went out this am as usual, came home I think mid pm and shock horror I was not here. She rearranged a few cushions on to the floor and I eventually came home. Then she discovered her duvet cover and baby quilt had been washed. There is no way she would sleep on my bed because that linen had also been changed so she is now slumming it on the rear of my armchair. It is a hard life here.

It was the one day I wanted her home at the usual hour of 7pm when everything would have been washed, dried and re-fitted.

MawBroon Tue 05-Mar-19 18:56:51

Glad you are both back safely Soop
If you do have your op next week that is my birthday (!) but I am happy to delay my celebrations until you are feeling rested and better.( It’s not a milestone so hardly worth mentioning! )
Your family weekend sounds like the tonic you need and I wish you a wonderful time!

dragonfly46 Tue 05-Mar-19 19:07:42

Pleased your pre-op is out of the way Soop. Now forget about it and enjoy time with your family. I hope the weather is kind to you.

Susan56 Tue 05-Mar-19 20:59:10

Glad you and McSporran are safely home and ??your surgery is soon.Wishing you a lovely weekend with your family

Anneliese63 Tue 05-Mar-19 21:05:39

I’m exhausted! Mr A had a hospital appointment regarding a speech/neurological problem which is proving difficult to diagnose. Nightmare parking as usual. Appointments running 90 minutes late. And 40 minute wait at pharmacy for a tablet they want him to take before we do it all again tomorrow! And then £5.60 parking fee. Not complaining really as they have done so many tests and they are trying hard to identify the problem. Chilling now with a glass of red! wine

Urmstongran Tue 05-Mar-19 21:10:20

You must be tired soop
I’d just want to add my good wishes to everyone else’s. Hope your treatment starts soon.
The sooner it starts, the sooner it’s over. x

megan123 Tue 05-Mar-19 21:22:36

Glad you are home soop, and that part is over for you.
Rest and then you will be ready for your family weekend.

Anne sorry your hospital appointment with Mr A was so challenging.

Take care all.

soop Tue 05-Mar-19 22:33:08

I have already posted a message, but, and there's always a but, the kindle thought that it would amuse me to lose it. Buggerations galore!
I simply wanted to say how much I enjoyed Panache,'s birthday knees -up. Yes, it was virtual...but, it was FUN. We must let our hair down more often. I loved the silly antics. I read part of the activities out loud to MacSporran. He laughed out loud. Who's turn is it next? I shall look forward to another day of insanely uplifting antics
I am ready for my bed. After ironing duty in the morning, I shall do my very best to catch up.
Until then, I send love to everyone.
Sleep well. X

Glad you`re safely home Soop, and that your pre-op went well. Now go and make Leicestershire ring!
Now, regretfully, a bit of sad news. Yesterday I heard that my nephew on my husband`s side was very ill and not expected to be with us for much longer. Today I was told that he died this morning. Now I have to find a way to get to the funeral, 150 miles away.

Anneliese63 Tue 05-Mar-19 22:48:07

Chilling now and feeling bad about complaining when our lovely Soop and many of our other friends have far more to contend with. I think the uncertainty of a poorly husband is getting to me! thanks

dragonfly46 Tue 05-Mar-19 23:34:52

Anneliese so sorry to hear of your trials and tribulations at the hospital. Don’t feel bad about complaining. It is always more stressful when it concerns our partner than it is when it just concerns ourselves. I hope it goes better tomorrow.

dragonfly46 Tue 05-Mar-19 23:35:50

callgirl sorry to hear your news. A death in the family is always very sad.

callgirl1 Wed 06-Mar-19 00:17:38

Thank you Dragonfly

heavensjoys Wed 06-Mar-19 01:40:07

Bless you Soop you are in my thoughts at this time. You are such an inspiration.
Wishing you much love and best wishes.xxx

kittylester Wed 06-Mar-19 07:05:33

callgirl, I'm sorry to hear your news. A complication you can do without! How is your son?

I'm sorry you had a bad day anneliese but glad your husband is being thoroughly 'investigated and hope that you get a solution soon.

Have you had your phone call, soop?

I'm not sure when you are off to Rutland but have a thoroughly lovely time.

DH had the results of his op yesterday. The cancer was completely excised and there is no further treatment required- just monitoring. We now have the prostate problem to be looked at. We are getting our money's worth from the nhs.

Take care everyone - hope the headaches are better by now!!

Nannytopsy Wed 06-Mar-19 07:24:17

Glad you have had good news Kitty and hope the prostate gets sorted too. Sorry about your news Callgirl and I hope you can get the transport sorted out.

annsixty Wed 06-Mar-19 08:06:35

Good news kitty, now we want to hear the same from soop in a couple of weeks and more good news about your H's prostate.
To others waiting for treatment to start I send you all best wishes.
callgirl sorry for your family, you are living through sad times, I hope things improve when your son sees the oncologist.
A dull day here for the first day of Lent, I am not giving anything up, I need all the choc and wine to keep me going?

Greyduster Wed 06-Mar-19 08:24:30

Callgirl I’m sorry to hear your news - not something you needed to hear on top of everything else going on in your life. ?

Kitty that is a good outcome for your DH; let’s hope that things progress in the same way, going forward.??

Nannytopsy Wed 06-Mar-19 10:20:16

I am thinking about Lent. I may try to be positive rather than give up something - I will spend at least one hour per day clearing the house. Does that work?

dragonfly46 Wed 06-Mar-19 11:08:28

Not sure it counts Nannytopsy but it sounds a great idea. I may join you.

NanaandGrampy Wed 06-Mar-19 11:29:47

Morning all !!

So sorry to hear your news callgirl , sending my sympathy.

NannyTopsy as I think you're giving up time that counts for Lent. I prefer to think of dust as a protective covering for furniture ;-)

Great news Kitty - might even call for a celebration !! When we have recovered from the last one ---by the way one of the Butlers in the Buff WAS not returned..... 'fess up....who has him !!!!

Anneliese that's a lot of buggerations. I value the NHS highly but cant help but think paying for parking is like kicking a man when he's down. Grampy always has to drop me off and I go alone to appointments and sometimes he catches me up and sometimes he's still circling the car park when I'm done!!

Sounds like all plans are moving on apace Soop , I bet you cant wait to see all your family on Friday - have a 'sooper' time :-) .

I do wonder on the state of the kitchen if you're away for a few days - this lots have turned out to be secret party animals !!!

Its good and bad news from here, the good news I am off to have my hair cut today albeit by a new hairdresser. My last experiment sent me flying back to my old hairdresser but a 200 mile round trip is just not practical. Ill post a picture if it comes out alright lol

Bad news , on his first day back at PE in 3 months after breaking his arm young master Jackson broke his finger playing dodge ball!!! You couldn't guess it could you?

My other bit of sadness is my 12 yr old granddaughter is having a tough time at school. She has fallen out with her only friend who has turned into a bit of a bully and now she is struggling to make new friends and survive 6 hours in a school day where she has no one to sit with at lunch and such. Small beans in the big picture of the world and a huge deal to one small 12 yr old girl .

Don't you just wish you could fix everything for them?
