Happy Birthday, Panache!? I have promised N&G I will not come and breathe germs over you (and there are definitely germs this morning!), so I will just say may the day bring you much joy, and cake! ??

Greyduster Mon 04-Mar-19 07:50:30

By way of a present, Panache, I thought I would book us all a trip around Ramsay Island in a jet boat. It can get very exciting! If we have lots of vodka jelly before hand, we might not notice how choppy it gets!

NanaandGrampy Mon 04-Mar-19 09:13:27

Morning party people !!!

Glad to see the kitchen full ! Thanks for the balloons Doodle outstanding job !!

Feelingmyage YOU are a woman after my own heart - chocolate for breakfast!!! AND vodka jelly!! Oh be still my beating heart !!

Panache may there be sunshine in your day and in your heart and you enjoy some time with your husband reminiscing about all those birthdays past! I hope our kitchen celebration will count in those memories going forward ! Have a wonderful birthday wine

Now - ladies - as I am old school these party activities will be on offer :-

1. Pass the Parcel - no hogging the parcel please !!

2. Musical chairs done at super slow speed to make sure those of us that are less mobile get a chance.

3. I'd suggest Sleeping Lions but as most of us either a) cant get down on the floor or b) couldn't get up once we were down there - maybe we'll pass on that one !

This is an all day party so please feel free to bring more food, eat what we have, drink some champagne and snooze quietly in the corner until you get your second wind !!

Happy Day Panache

3.

Charleygirl5 Mon 04-Mar-19 09:30:58

Do some of you lot never sleep? I need my 8 hours a day to face the day.

Happy birthday Panache.

N&G you are so right- I could reach the floor so easily but once there it would be a crane that would be the only thing to move me.

We are lucky here, the wind died down late pm and the sun is trying to peep through now.

dragonfly46 Mon 04-Mar-19 09:48:01

I suspect with sleeping lions N&G some of us would fall asleep on the floor before the fire brigade arrived to hoist us up grin

MawBroon Mon 04-Mar-19 09:48:14

Can we play that game where we take it in turns to drink a generous glass (tankard?) of Prosecco then somebody goes out of the room and we try to remember who it is?

(My children always used to refer to “Parcel the parcel” for fairly obvious reasons.)
Maybe we could play Sleeping Lions in easy chairs after lunch?
I’ve been practising for years!

Willow500 Mon 04-Mar-19 09:54:58

Happy Birthday Panache! I hope you are able to share your special day with Mr P and that he is feeling a little better. The kitchen is looking splendid with all the banners, decoration and food laden table!

So much news to catch up on since I last managed to pop into the kitchen - too much to mention everyone but I have read all the pages so am now up to date. So many ups and downs with everyone - flowers to all those who are suffering at the moment.

Soop it's good to read your positive attitude to the upcoming treatment and that there is now a plan in place. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time with your family beforehand and can then get on with the op and the job of recovery.

Ann poor Molly must have had a frightening experience but it's a relief to know she is sticking close to you rather than running off which is probably what Alfie would do.

We were at the bungalow for the weekend and popped out to the cemetery with some flowers on Friday. We were only out 30 minutes but when we got back I was horrified to find a lot of blood all over the bedroom floor (luckily it's laminate so easily cleaned up). We still have no idea whether it's from Alfie or Daphne - there was no sign of a fight at all and no obvious injury to either so it's remained a mystery.

I will hopefully come back in later to partake of the cake.
