Reading several posts today there are a large majority with moans from Dils. I’m not saying for a moment some aren’t a nightmare but some of us are ok. I dreaded becoming a MIL because of all the negativity I heard from work colleagues about theirs. I told my future Dils my concerns and asked them if I ever did anything they didn’t like they must tell me. So far so good just once I’ve been told and we discussed it and apologised to each other.
I hope when they become an in-law, especially if they have sons they will remember and understand it is not always an easy position to be in,
I expect my sons to support their wives but for both of them to remember we are his parents and have and continue to do our best
