My admiration of people has been enhanced.
Yesterday was our regular fortnightly Council bus trip to a local shopping centre where I borrow a free electric mobility scooter to get around. Love it: cruising in and out of shops, getting in everyone's way; payback time!
Unfortunately it has to be returned to the concierge later after knees have seized up, but as I hobbled all of 100metres to the bus pick-up point carrying 2 bags of shopping a lady offered to carry them for me and I was very grateful. On the way she said she lived close by with husband and 3 grandchildren who she was caring for as their parents were on drugs; had done it for 8 years! Otherwise they would have been ''placed"somewhere"
When I recounted this to Bob, our bus driver, he warned she could have run off with my shopping! I ask you! How cynical! An OAPs ham and bacon rolls and a carton of coffee! If a lady dropped the shopping and ran off with me, well that would be a bit different.
But I do meet many nice helpful people on these trips.
Tips on keeping the house cool in very hot weather
Ah dear - why does getting older equate to diminished brain power?

Now where can I light that up to my best advantage?
