I know I am being completely unreasonable here, but...

It doesn't irritate me ,nothing much does.It does make me wonder why on earth they do it ,or get their lips enlarged to the point of being totally unnatural looking.
Still its their faces and I can be happy that my kids and their partners haven't seccumbed to the fashion .I wont get too confident though I have 3 GD's so it might happen yet .I also think these really heavy eyebrows look ridiculous .

LOL I do agree it is not a good look , I just smile and move on , what gets me going is someone I am trying to have a conversation with , looking over my shoulder as if to see if someone more interesting is there . Last time it happened I stopped talking and turned and walked away , sadly they never seemed to notice ! I must be boring

No, no, aggie, you don't understand. You're not boring, but you are, as a woman of mature years - ie over 25 - invisible. (I am assuming that you are a woman even if it's just on Wednesdays but if not, my argument falls down and I apologise.)

By the way, I agree about the pout look. It's awful! And the big eyebrow(s). My pet hate though, is the sort of clarted-on make-up that makes you want to poke a finger through it just to see how thick it is.

I am indeed a female person , of not slender proportions and very visible , I wear a lot of red , I am well over 25 and quite assertive
Don't understand the thick eyebrows ! My Mum used to pluck hers then draw in very thin versions , not sure which is the worste look !

I don't understand how people have so much time to 'beautify' themselves. I find just combing my hair and tying it back takes long enough.

I don't know why they pout and stick their tongues out for photos.

The eyebrows are no more ridiculous than shaving them all off and then drawing them back in again, I think, which used to be the fashion.

To want to have huge puffed lips surely must raise concern for their mental health ? It's a wonder they can breathe properly with the top lip being near the nostrils.
Same as the " George Roby " eyebrows. They look like a pair of slugs, most unattractive. Why would anyone want to alter their looks ?

pensionpat my mother used to say you're as well dead as out of fashion...usually when dad was complaining about seeing our knickers every time we moved or telling us we'd get arrested for indecency . Didn't stop us wearing each new fashion though I drew the line at Bay city rollers tartanmania

And I saw a young woman with 'slug eyebrows' yesterday - she could have been so pretty without them.

I keep remembering that the heyday of my youth was in the 1960s and I can remember all the outraged comments by the older generation then about our short skirts, long hair and make-up - Twiggy with her drawn on her skin eyelashes. At one point I wore a half wig, all the rage at the time.

So I just smile benignly on the younger generation and their experimentation. We were them once.

I worry about the future health implications of the lip fillers injected as much as how utterly ridiculous they look. At least our fashion experiments were not medical procedures.

I saw a well known actress in her early 50s recently who had silicone or similar pumped into her cheeks, presumably to make her look younger. She looked so odd.

I wonder how men react to kissing someone with a trout pout? Just asking ?

I am OK with any fashin that is reversible. Hair grows gain and clothes can go into the dressing up box. We all look back and can laugh at the perm we had or the clothes we wore when it was the fashion.
Tatoos is my big hate. I can just about understand teenagers to be that foolish as they have no concept of time. But anybody over the age of 30 should understand that we don’t like the same thing throughout our life. WE CHANGE every day. And tatoos look so ugly.
I kept begging my children that if they wanted a drawing on their skin to get a sleeve or a temporary transfer but don’t stamp themselves forever.

Our " peculiarities " were phases in that era------there was nothing so permanent as invasive surgery, nor even having the thousands that it cost.

Some of the stars who have it done are barely recognisable. You can't tell me that they're in their right mind when they have these procedures carried out ?

Lip fillers and clowns eyebrows make me shudder, to think it looks in any way attractive must mean they are seriously deluded. Do they not realise that when the fashion is over, their faces will not return to the previous state.

Also why do the stick there tongues out and also put there fingers up in the peace sign,it really drives me up the wall.

My DH thinks that the trout-pout look is hideous and off-putting, he says that kissing lips like that would be like kissing a condom filled with cold porridge (oh he has a way with words, my DH!).
