Have to tell someone ? , I’ve never bothered figuring out how to use cruise control on my car, DH and I always shared the driving on long journeys and honestly I tried it once and it felt weird not to be in control. Anyway as I’m now having to drive myself I woke this morning the sun was shining so I thought today’s the day.
Jumped in my car and took myself onto the M25 and finally got the hang of it, and actually enjoyed it, also figured out why my phone wouldn’t connect itself to the car handsfree, I’d turned the Bluetooth off on my phone.

Really happy with myself and had to tell someone as if I mention these small accomplishments to my family I know they’ll pat me on the head and say well done dear and smile.?

Wow. Park assist would change my life!!
In another tiny triumph I changed the ink in my computer printer! What next...

Tanith well done! I always have to battle with cruise control when we get a new car as they're all slightly different. Don't use it often as, like you, I don't like the feeling of being not in control. Another point is that you can use more fuel if you use cruise a lot as the car accelerates more on inclines to keep to the speed set. I only use it in roadworks where there's speed limit

kittylester what car do you have that has a heated steering wheel?? I'd love one as I find the cold wheel causes my mild Reynaud's to make my fingers go white and numb!!!

Well done tanith. The achievement will boost your confidence to tackle other things. Who knows where it will lead.

Maximum respect, tanith. I have yet to summon up the courage to use cruise control.

You don't need a heated steering wheel in Aus ,if you leave your car in the sun & forget to cover the wheel it is too hot to handle & you can't go anywhere

Well done everyone for doing all these amazing things. I'm sure if I had a car with extras, a smart phone or Sat Nav I'd have a go at all these wink. I must admit I prefer my laptop to using the i pad as my swiping fingers don't seem to work like everyone else's. When I take photos on my DS's phone for him he ends up with about 94 of them and I only touch the screen once (very lightly) now! On the other hand I have changed tyres, replaced wipers and once (by fluke) fixed a stuck window on the car. I can also build flat pack furniture .... Will that do?! wink
