Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry here in brackley this morning.
My usual Saturday , with bus travel to Buckingham and Bicester.
I am hoping that the flea market is on in Buckingham , although its only there for up to 4 hours between 10 and 2pm , stallholders vary , and rain can stop stall holders from doing a full time slot.
Mick

Happy birthday, Nina. I hope you have a lovely day.???

Good morning. Dull day in east London and a quiet day for me. Ears still recovering after going to a heavy rock gig last night - atomic rooster anyone? Getting the tickets was a moment of madness. My parcel has arrived so I'm now safe to go shopping.

Not new to Gransnet, so I ''know'' most of you already but new to the morning thread...so Good morning to you all from a very grey damp Herts .

You all sound so busy, I'm jealous, because I've put my knee out , and have been unable to walk for a few weeks further than a couple of hundred yards without pain, not sure what to do about it really. Annoying for an outdoors person

happy Birthday to Nina, hope you have a lovely day, I've got 3 more years yet for my pension

have a wonderful day everybody!!

Good morning everyone. Quite bright in Northampton this morning, so hoping that bodes well for the rugby ? this afternoon. Northampton Saints playing at home to our deadliest rivals Leicester Tigers. Atmosphere will be electric! Will be wrapping up warm and there will be a hotpot in the oven for me to come home to. And a glass of ?.....
Have a nice day everyone.

ScotinOz Sat 26-Jan-19 10:14:28

Good evening from a warm Sydney.

Took my DD and my DGC out shopping this morning. We managed to buy the DGC their school shoes in the first shop we tried! School goes back next week.

Sitting here watching the UK Escape to the Country (from 2015). Still watch the UK programs when I can ?

Have a good day, take care

Good morning All x
Dry and brightening up here in Wirral. Mild again but will make the most of it before Jack frost visits again next week.
Twin GGC calling today so will prepare a Shepherds pie to fill them up.

Had a bit of a rumbling tum through the night and put it down to the pickled onions so will be avoiding them in future. Strange how certain things no longer agree with you as you get older sad

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all!
I was quite wiped out by yesterday’s trip to London , although it is incredibly easy as I can get a direct train to Blackfriars which is barely 5 minutes from Tate Modern.
It’s just the pace of it all though isn’t it?
Happy Birthday Ninathenana ! Hope you have a lovely day and when that State Pension kicks in, as my Scottish granny used to say when she slipped me a sixpence ”Don’t spend it all in the one shop”
Off to spend a couple of nights with DD1 and family in Birmingham. I suspect attendance at an under 7’s football match or 8 year old rugby training (or both!) will be expected tomorrow morning. ?
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Good Morning from a very mild Black Country.

Not long up! Had a lovely Haggis meal last night at a local pub, the old fashioned type, with a lovely log fire.

This evening we are off to a party at a Cricket Club, and it is 60's/70's fancy dress.

Hopefully will be ordering the kitchen floor tiles today, so a re-vamped kitchen is getting closer smile

Happy birthday Nina, and a big welcome to all the 'newbies'

Have a lovely day everyone.

annsixty Sat 26-Jan-19 09:33:08

Good morning all from a mild but damp Stockport.
Just popped in to say Happy Birthday nina what a youngster you are.
Enjoy your day everyone.

NanKate Sat 26-Jan-19 09:10:07

Mary you ‘all talked out’ NEVER?

Welcome to the newbies, we are a friendly lot.

Harri where can I access the Belgian series? I have Netflix and Amazon, oh and BBC IPlayer. Also the name please, thanks.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I get later and later. We have a flea market one day a week at our local market too, Mick. Some interesting bits and pieces usually. A dry start to the day in South Yorkshire. We may get a little walk in if DH is up to it. Have a happy birthday, Nina??!

Auntieflo Sat 26-Jan-19 08:56:56

Morning Michael, Annie and all.
Happy birthday Nina
Looks like it is a pretty grey day mostly everywhere today. I have a pneumoccocal vac. booked for this morning, then off to usual coffee meet up with friends.
Nothing else much planned, so probably a lazy day.
Enjoy your weekend one and all.

Pittcity Sat 26-Jan-19 08:55:37

Good morning from a grey, damp Colchester.
No plans except shopping and ironing today.

Annapops Sat 26-Jan-19 08:28:30

Good morning all. My first venture into this thread although have been following for quite some time. Calm grey morning here in County Durham but a busy day ahead ripping out more of our old kitchen, so it will be goodbye to using a dishwasher again for a little while. Ugg!

megan123 Sat 26-Jan-19 08:27:38

Good morning everyone. A bit grey this morning with some drizzly rain. Warmer though. Have a good day all and take care.

Sar53 Sat 26-Jan-19 08:20:29

Good morning everyone from a bright Essex by the sea. Off to look at bathroom furniture today as having a new one fitted at the beginning of March. Nothing else planned. Have a good day everyone.

harrigran Sat 26-Jan-19 08:17:09

Good morning from a dry, mild NE.
Nothing on the calendar for today so will catch up with odds and ends, spent the last couple of days watching a Belgian police drama, thirteen episodes back to back. Way better than anything the BBC produce.

Marydoll Sat 26-Jan-19 08:07:52

oldgaijin, someone on the Glasgow thread is asking if there are any Aberdeen grans and is looking to meet up.

oldgaijin Sat 26-Jan-19 08:05:38

Good morning all from a very dark Aberdeenshire. Even the thousands of roosting crows in the forest aren't up yet. There is thick haar and it is peeing with rain.
Had a delightful birthday lunch for a friend yesterday with delicious food and much hilarity. Ninathenana, I hope the day brings forth cake and bubbles.
Must rise as I have yet another man coming to quote for a new fence...the previous one was far too expensive, £1200!!
Enjoy your day everybody.

aggie Sat 26-Jan-19 08:03:32

Morning All , dark and damp again , still mild , I stepped out the patio doors in my bare feet to check why the security light was on , and found out pretty quick that it is the rain ! Feet wet but not cold , how weird , in January , is that ?

DoraMarr Sat 26-Jan-19 07:51:46

Good morning Micheal and everyone from a damp, grey, but mild Birmingham. No hospital today ( I get the weekends off.) I slept like a log last night, which was surprising, because I slept most of yesterday too! I’m hoping I’ll feel a bit livelier today, as I need to buy a birthday present for my son in law and drop it off. I’ll go to my partner’s this evening for dinner and tv - we’ve saved up “Les Miserables.”
Happy Birthday Nina, I hope the flea market has some treasures, Micheal, and I hope Annie is feeling ok this morning.

cornergran Sat 26-Jan-19 07:51:00

Morning Mick, morning All from our milder but irritatingly damp corner of Somerset, drizzly rain. Food shop once I stir then a chat with a neighbour. Happy birthday nina, enjoy your day. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.
