Good morning all.

It's drizzling here in Kent. We can't complain though as we haven't had rain for weeks and at least it's not the frozen kind.
Food shop and coffee out this morning. Nothing else planned.
Have a good day everyone.

Anniebach Fri 25-Jan-19 09:07:29

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning, damp and dreary but 8 degrees.
DH has Drs appointment and I will stay at home as plumber still has not returned to fix the toilet cistern, well it is only three weeks.

A late good morning all - too much faffing about! Off to post my old passport today and then wallpaper stripping. I did an online passport application yesterday and was pleased to find it really easy. The worst bit was getting the photo done! Is that really what I look like???sad Have a peaceful day everyone!

Good morning everyone. All the snow has gone now, and we are left with a dark damp dreary morning. Hopefully it will brighten up later. Still got this horrible lurgy.

Take care everyone.

Urmstongran Fri 25-Jan-19 08:48:07

Good morning everyone from a mild but damp South Manchester. Dentist this morning. Get that out of the way then a relaxing French manicure at noon! DGS aged 6y is coming over after school for tea, a bath, DVD and his 2nd ever sleepover! His mummy said he was SO excited this morning when told. She thinks he feels such a ‘big boy’ coming on his own, leaving baby (2y on Sunday) sister with mummy & daddy! Obviously I can’t wait ?

BlueSapphire Fri 25-Jan-19 08:46:19

Oh NannyJan I remember going to Birmingham arena about 20 odd years ago with our school choir, and we had Tony Hadley as well!
Maw hope you enjoy the Bonnard exhibition, been seeing the pictures in the news and it looks fabulous. I must rouse myself and do something like that.

Mapleleaf Fri 25-Jan-19 08:29:41

Good morning all,
It's a cloudy, breezy morning here today and not as cold.
Attending a funeral today.
Hope today is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a warmer North Yorkshire. Must get the car washed today and pick up some salt for the front steps. Burns jazz night later.
Enjoy the Edinburgh meet up. I shall try to join you next time.
Hope everyone has a good day.

MawBroon Fri 25-Jan-19 08:17:56

Good morning Mick and all!
Dreary and wet again here in NBucks. Never the same for more than a couple of days is it?
What a difference a really good night’s sleep makes.
Going to London later this morning to see the Anni Albers exhibition at Tate Modern and possibly the Bonnard - a splash of colour on a grey day.
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Good Morning all from a damp South Welsh coast.
U3A Book Club for me this morning, won't be able to go for the next two months due to an op on my foot.

Hope everyone has a good day and that Scottish GN's enjoy the Burns celebrations, sounds fun.

Brunette10 Fri 25-Jan-19 08:11:09

Good Morning all, damp and windy in Fife today. Looking forward to meet up today in Edin for Burns lunch. Thinking of all with ailments/hospital appointments today. Look after yourself.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 25-Jan-19 07:46:19

Good morning from a dark damp SE Essex.

Off to the gym this morning out to dinner with friends this evening and pottering at home in between.

Hope all hospital and doctors appointments have a hopeful outcome.

Wishing you all a warm Friday.

oldgoat Fri 25-Jan-19 07:40:28

Up early to catch the train to Edinburgh for the Burns lunch with the Edinburgh Grans. Enjoy your neeps and tatties nannyJan and see you later marydoll .

NannyJan53 Fri 25-Jan-19 07:21:51

Good morning from a damp and almost warmer Black Country 7 deg in the car just now!

I have a choice of two activities this morning. An urban walk round Birmingham, seeing old buildings and landmarks. This is with U3A Walking Group. Or the usual Friday morning walk around a local beauty spot with Walking for Health group. Decisions, decisions hmm

It was a good evening at the Genting Arena, seeing the Young Voices evening. Tony Hadley sang and also Sharlene Hector who sang with Basement Jaxx. Who both had a backing of over 6,000 children singing with their school choirs.

Tonight we are going to a local pub for a Burns Night supper of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties!

Hope your DH's appointment today goes well kitty and thinking of you again today Dora

Have a good day everyone

BlueSapphire Fri 25-Jan-19 07:19:32

Good morning all; too dark to see what it's like out this morning in Northampton!
Lovely lunch out yesterday in good company, followed by a mooch around the shops. Only needed a snack yesterday evening, as was still stuffed from lunch.
Sainsbury's later to meet a friend for coffee, then a bit of food shopping.
DGDs after school this afternoon for tea, an easy one for me, they would like pizza! Followed by icecream.
Have a good day everyone.

Marydoll Fri 25-Jan-19 07:08:28

Good morning Mick and all who follow. It's gone from -1 degrees yesterday in Glasgow to 10 degrees this morning!

I'm glad you are coming to grips with Windows10, Mick. It's much better than when it first came out, it needed lots of "fixes".

I'm up early to go to the Edinburgh meet up, which I'm looking forward to so much.

I didn't sleep very well last night after reading some late night vile comments on a previous Good Morning thread

Best wishes for your husband's hospital visit today, Kitty and for anyone who is poorly.

Have a good day, folks.

Rufus2 Fri 25-Jan-19 07:05:20

Good Evening Mick; Very humid now; still in in the low 30s and unpleasantly sticky. Don't know what's for dinner; cold salmon salad probably; "fish" again! grin
I'd be very interested to hear about your experiences with the PC hard drive melt down; why a mini PC?
What are your PC interests, now that you are back on line? I'd love to "talk" about anything that could be of mutual interest and benefit e.g. cricket, soccer, tech matters, cooking, GNmatters etc.
Whenever you're ready! Good Luck with W10 and Good Health. smile

DoraMarr Fri 25-Jan-19 07:04:49

Good morning Micheal, Anniebach and everyone, from a dark, damp, but mild Birmingham. I have my usual appointment this morning- early, at 8.15, then a hair appointment at 10. 30. Not much else to do today after my trip to Worcester yesterday., so after my walk I may catch up some reading. I hope everyone’s day is happy.

Gagagran Fri 25-Jan-19 06:57:40

Morning Mick and everyone. It is not as cold here on the south coast this morning but looks dark and damp.

We are going to do the weekly supermarket shop, pick up a prescription and one or two other bits this morning. I am still trying to reduce the effects of a "snotty" cold so hope it improves today.

Have a good day folks!

cornergran Fri 25-Jan-19 06:53:39

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark and damp looking corner of Somerset. Restless night so tired and achey. Off to a shopping centre this morning in search of cake decorations, not much else today. Hope all goes well for your husband kitty and Friday is kind to everyone.
