Morning!!

Rufus2 Thu 24-Jan-19 00:27:08

Oh dear. Another “it’s”
Maw; Sorry teacher! I thought it was past your bedtime so I relaxed thinking I'd be safe. grinYou've (watch out for these apostrophes; your special subject!?) got it all wrong! Mick's not a problem; I too appreciate his Brackley weather reports; it's his computer. We haven't a clue what's wrong except that we do know he can phone; you've told us so. Hand wringing and platitudes have never cured my comp. problems, but another positive idea would be for Mick to ditch his present one and buy or rent another. It must have cost him a fortune already at IT "experts" rates.
QED. grin Perhaps GNnetters can pass the hat round?

Rufus2 Thu 24-Jan-19 00:39:26

Hi Annamarie and Rufus, join me on the naughty chair
Megs; grin Love to, although bags I sit in the middle! At this rate Maw will have to buy us a larger more comfy naughty sofa! Still laughing!
Must away; busy day ahead at our "OBEs' Club.
Take care and Good Health.

Your comments are beneath contempt Rufus

NannyJan53 Thu 24-Jan-19 07:23:14

Agreed Maw just sheer arrogance!

dragonfly46 Thu 24-Jan-19 08:19:29

I am appalled at the sheer arrogance of people who come on here simply to mock and then take pride in the fact. Go and find another playground to play in!

Megs36 Thu 24-Jan-19 09:34:44

Gets everyone going though doesn't he?? Are some of you ex head teachers?????

RachellaGransnet (GNHQ) Thu 24-Jan-19 09:55:50

Good morning. Let's please remember to be kind to your fellow gransnetters!

MawBroon Thu 24-Jan-19 10:07:38

Hear, hear!
Is “getting everyone going” by being malicious about someone else, what GN is all about?

MawBroon Thu 24-Jan-19 10:10:52

I should have said “about someone in his absence

Marydoll Thu 24-Jan-19 10:33:00

Thank you for the reminder, Rachella, it was becoming quite unpleasant and upsetting, which we are unused to on this gentle, friendly thread.

Rufus2 Thu 24-Jan-19 10:49:22

I should have said “about someone in his absence
Maw; Goodness me teacher! You're even correcting your own postings! grin
I don't recall reading anything malicious or even anything about Michael; it's all been about his computer and positive suggestions on how he could get it fixed. Please don't let your prejudices cloud your judgement. sad

Australia Day, is on Saturday the 25th. Today at our OBE Club, we kicked it off with a member's projector presentation of good old Aussie songs e.g "I still call Australia Home", "The Pub with no Beer"; Charlie Drake's "My Boomerang won't come back" and so on and so forth. A great time was had by all, followed by an excellent afternoon tea, including Lamingtons of course.!
Keep warm.

OBE

MawBroon Thu 24-Jan-19 19:08:26

Rufus I do apologise for the typos
FFS (not what you may think - fat finger syndrome)

Rufus2 Thu 24-Jan-19 22:49:09

FFS (not what you may think - fat finger syndrome)
Maw; Didn't you mean FAS? As I've just said, I think your prejudices are beginning to affect your faculties! grin
Your memory may not be what it was in your youth, but as I've previously explained, OBE is a non-regal life-time award for long service; "Over Bloody Eighty". Quite a few at local bowling clubs, but much less demand for "over 90s" medals. grin
Apologies for hogging air space, but I'm hoping to get these postings away before more A/Cs are switched on and the threatened power cuts take hold! Keep calm!

MawBroon Thu 24-Jan-19 22:55:26

No, I think FFS is generally recognised as Fat Finger S yndrome smile
Being a bit younger than I think you are, I do not suffer from memory problems so I probably did not read your explanation of your version of OBE
My father’s and FIL’s ones were the other sort.
