Greetings all from a very frosty Aberdeenshire. The sky is clear and there is brilliant sunshine, which almost tempts you outside, then you see it's -6.
Bed change and laundry today then coffee and a good book...Have just started the newest C J Sansom, (Shardlake series).
Have a good and safe day everyone.

Good morning,

It’s a beautiful morning, but very, very, cold with a keen frost. It’s definitely a day to wrap up warm if venturing out, which I must do later.

Cold though it is, it’s so lovely to see a clear blue sky instead of the leaden grey skies of late. I think it lifts the spirits a bit.

Keep warm and cosy, everyone. smile

Good morning all. Many dire warnings of snow and ice came to nothing here in Mid Sussex. just dull at the moment, no frost though quite cold.
Looking forward to new Shardlake book too, when I have finished 'Ashes of London' by Andrew Taylor, crime in the capital after the great fire.
Been coughing for a month, does it ever go away?

Good morning all. Snow still on the ground but the sun is shining through sunshine.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone! I agree Mapleleaf - the blue skies are such a lift! It is very frosty still in Leicester at 9.30. French today so I must do my homework ?

Urmstongran Wed 23-Jan-19 09:34:58

Merry Christmas everyone! Well it looks like a Christmas card out of the windows here - an inch of snow and the roofs covered - really pretty! I have to go out in an hour for an MOT annual blood test. The hospital is where I used to work and it’s only a 20 minute walk away. It will do me good especially if I wear my new boots with soles that look like tank tracks!

Hi everyone from a pleasant evening here in Sydney.

Took the DGC to the pools today as it was quite hot earlier. [They are still on Summer holidays but go back next Tuesday]. Enjoyed my day ?

Have a good day. Take care....

A very late good morning from the NE. Harshest frost of the winter so far but it does look pretty as the sun is shining.
We have had a message to say GD's computer is on it's way back to us, only collected and returned to manufacturer last Friday, even brand new ones can fail.

Good morning from east London where the sprinkle of snow last night is rapidly disappearing in the sun. Thought briefly of going swimming earlier but remembered the wet and cold of last night. No tennis this morning but will get my exercise walking to the hospital to what I hope will be my sign off appointment from the oncology team after nearly six years of post chemo monitoring after a mastectomy. I hope to be skipping all the way home.

Good morning all, just about to venture out into this cold but bright morning in Somerset. Lots of ice on the roads but no snow, thank goodness.

Morning all from a frosty Notts, but the blue sky and sunshine doesn't do any harm.

Good morning All x
A beautiful sunny and bright day in Wirral.
I had already tried to post a message but the "502" got in the way, but hey-ho this is what technology does.

Take great care underfoot everyone.

Snow is sticking here in Cheshire. Rufus2 makes me envious every day. Perhaps we'll get our revenge this summer!

Urmstongran Wed 23-Jan-19 12:41:53

Hope you get discharged Mythbirt that would be wonderful indeed ??

That is entirely out of order Rufus
Do you really think it is witty to be so disparaging. Jealous or something? ?

NanKate Wed 23-Jan-19 13:33:10

This was a lovely warm secure thread until a few posters have made it their business to stir up trouble.

Mick would be horrified to see all these questioning nasty posts. To my knowledge he has never offended anyone and has asked for NO favours.

I am on the point of bashing my head up against the fall and using words not in my usual vocabulary. So to stop that happening please just keep quiet about Mick and enjoy the daily chat here.

I suspect a few people are getting a perverted pleasure from stirring things up. All I can say is others have tried this and got absolutely nowhere.

Here endeth the lesson. ?

DoraMarr Wed 23-Jan-19 13:43:33

Well said NanKate.
