Hello folks.

GabriellaG54 Tue 22-Jan-19 16:01:31

IT'S SNOWING HERE JUST OUTSIDE GUILDFORD @ 15:58, just as I was watching the BBC weather report.

As I said a few days ago he rang me last week to say that it was his computer
Maw; can't we put a merciful end to this saga? Did you ask him if it was hardware or software? He's obviously not getting much joy out of his techies, or maybe he's trying DIY. I've just had a look at the GN tech. Forum and there appears to be a small army of experts. winkTell Mick to brief them on the story so far. A quicker solution could be forthcoming. It must be worth trying!

Does Mick have health issues, is he very elderly? I'm only a recent joiner to this thread so I don't know his background. It's sounds a bit worrying to me.

Feelingmyage55 Tue 22-Jan-19 12:08:07

Just read the thread. greyduster. Off to make Anzac biscuits to eat while watching the Australian Open. Thank you.

Good morning - just in time! Feeling better after having flu for a week. Off out to fill the fridge with healthy food.

Must go a see my friend who's just getting over the "lurgy"hmm

Good Morning , I am a bit late but I have been up and about ! Blinding sun here but the thermometer tells me it is nippy out
I have got back to indoor bowling and we had a rather stiff match last night , the old bones are telling me to get in a bit more practice ! Anyway after slouching in PJS all morning I am away for a hot shower wink

MawBroon, thank you, yes they came from that place! I had looked on line, but they didn’t have my size. So, as I was mooching, the shop was there, right in front of me, and there were so many pairs in my size, I had to be sensible.
I am looking forward to wearing them.

A late good morning All.x
Woke up to the sound of hailstones pelting against windows and the sky going back to nightime. Heard rumblings overhead so didn't switch on until it passed about 10 minutes ago.
Rather cold out and it's starting to go dark again. I won't be going far that's for sure.
Hope all is well with everyone

A bright start has now descended into sleet. Spotted the Scrappies in the close and got him to take my old rotary line that's been hanging around for weeks, or as DH calls him ' the call to Mecca'
In process of buying the freehold and had bill for the fees based on 12 months ground rent, but we pay that every 6 months always have done ?

oldgaijin - your mention of family moving to Singapore struck a cord. Both my daughter and my son moved to the other side of the world and started their families there. I was happy for their own happiness but heartbroken inside. However- they have both emigrated back and now both live within 10 minutes of the family home. I feel your pain so much - but hopefully 3 years will pass and your family will be back again.

Morning all,
Very cold and icy in Hampshire this morning.
Was up early to take Grandchild to school, a bit slippery under feet!!
Have a good day and take care

Good morning. Lovely and sunny, but cold, in this part of the West Mids. There was a fox in the garden this morning.

MawBroon Tue 22-Jan-19 10:37:59

Sorry didn’t mean it to sound like that! blushflowers

Megs36 Tue 22-Jan-19 10:32:23

Ok Maw Broon, suitably told off☹️☹️

Irenelily Tue 22-Jan-19 10:21:47

Missing you Mick, hope all well?
Lovely day here in Thanet after yesterday’s all day ice. Still a bonus - 8week old great grandson visited and laid on floor and “did his exercises” !!
Must get out and walk soon while the sun lasts!
Have a good day everyone!

MawBroon Tue 22-Jan-19 10:18:49

As I said a few days ago he rang me last week to say that it was his computer.

Megs36 Tue 22-Jan-19 10:13:11

Is everyone absolutely sure 'Windows 10' is Micks problem? Maybe holiday? Are posters all personally involved? Still not sure how this works. hmm??

Morning All

A lovely bright sunny morning here in Norfolk, but only about two degrees according to the outside thermometer.

The house is in chaos with progress being made on the dining room floor so DH and I are marooned in the back room with the dining room furniture. I have to go out later to the shops and I’m a bit worried about leaving DH alone. Clearing out the drawers (numerous) from the dining room has brought on a bout of spring cleaning fever and he’s started on the loft!!!!

Mythbirtthedragon Tue 22-Jan-19 09:54:17

Good morning. Lovely bright day in east London and as others, bright moon earlier, too late for the eclipse. Tennis again this morning then a date later this evening with DD and DGD to go to Canary Wharf to see its new year lights. May end the day stuffing and transporting boxes as DD is having her kitchen renewed starting tomorrow.

Grammaretto Tue 22-Jan-19 09:43:06

Marydoll I hope your DD gets help soon with the puncture and your DGC enjoys the snow. shock

Gaggi3 Tue 22-Jan-19 09:30:53

Good morning all. Bright in S.E after night rain. Still had to break thin layer of ice on birdbath, though. Must do intensive (for me) cleaning this week, as very house proud friends coming at the weekend. Have a good day and get well soon all sufferers.

Susan56 Tue 22-Jan-19 09:29:35

Good morning from a damp, dull Gower.Back to Shropshire today. We were hoping to stay for lunch but will probably set off quite soon as snow is forecast for most of the route home.Have a good day everyone.

harrigran Tue 22-Jan-19 09:22:20

Good morning, quite bright but damp after overnight rain.
Slept in and was woken by, what sounded like, a very large truck with reversing beeps. Looked out of the window and it was a road sweeper, never seen one in ten years or so.
Yesterday I received a most beautiful bouquet, it was from DD who lives abroad, things like that can brighten your day.

Anniebach Tue 22-Jan-19 09:18:18

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Hope everyone has a good day x
