Thinking of you tomorrow, soop.

Thinking of you tomorrow with a wee prayer

grannyqueenie Thu 07-Feb-19 22:05:54

I had to read your post a 2nd time n&g, my first thought was that your gift would lead to a new thread on threading versus waxing for good results...I’m glad I was wrong!!

callgirl thinking of you, it’s hard watching stuff unfold especially if there’s nothing we can do to make it better. flowers I seem to be in that position a lot these days.

Hoping soop that you don’t have the high winds, promised for our corner of the world, for your travels tomorrow- go safely x
Wishing you all a good nights sleep, especially those with worries on their minds.

Wishing you well for tomorrow Soop brave lady!
I just wanted to share wee Flynn’s latest to his mummy on Tuesday night.

“I’m not a baby any more, mummy, I’m a big boy. I was a baby yesterday and wanted mama milk (he had had nightmares and woken up) but I’m a big boy now. T Rex is going to be the baby and I’m going to be the big boy”
(T. Rex is the name youngest DD has given her “bump” - due date in 4 weeks time. )
Oh and DD stopped breastfeeding him over a year ago but he clearly still remembers the comfort of “mama milk”
Out of the mouths of babes! ??

callgirl1 Thu 07-Feb-19 22:15:47

Aw bless him!
Thank you all for your good wishes.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 07-Feb-19 22:20:10

callgirl1 ??

Just crawled in for a quiet 10 minutes, it's stroppy outside this kitchen.

Sleep well, keep safe ?

Mamissimo Thu 07-Feb-19 22:29:57

Wishing everyone a quiet night of gentle zzzz so that we’re all starting tomorrow with something in reserve. ?

Bellanonna Thu 07-Feb-19 23:51:47

Soop, will be thinking of you. All the best.

Maw it seems like yesterday that you posted a photo of the newborn Flynn. Time flies alarmingly.

MawBroon Fri 08-Feb-19 00:00:21

Growing up fast!

Marelli Fri 08-Feb-19 07:41:04

Soop, sending you good wishes for your appointment today. The weather's being a bit wicked, so safe journey to you both.
And, to callgirl1, you are in my thoughts, my dear friend.

annsixty Fri 08-Feb-19 07:48:08

Best wishes for today soop
callgirl I feel your upset, I hope your mind is soon easier.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 08-Feb-19 08:19:45

Thinking of you soop ??

Take care of yourself callgirl ??

Will pop in later, have a difficult visit to a dear friend this morning. She is terminally ill and being looked after by her family and “hospice at home”.

Keep safe, warm and dry it sounds horrible out there (haven’t opened the curtains yet) ☔️?

NanaandGrampy Fri 08-Feb-19 09:36:11

Morning all,

Its a wet and windy one here so Grampy will be putting on his wet weather gear as we are emptying the final crafting boxes , packed over a year ago and transporting them out to the West Wing for the final unpacking. I shall supervise :-)

Lovely picture Maw where has the time gone, it seems like only yesterday he was a babe in arms.

That made me chuckle grannyqueenie , no its ok - Cooper remains unaware of those beauty issues !

Stay warm and snug indoors everyone , and safe journey soop x

Greyduster Fri 08-Feb-19 09:49:26

Just popped in to say best wishes and fingers crossed to Soop for today. ?
I will try and look in later.

Doodle Fri 08-Feb-19 14:25:53

maw that’s never Flynn. ?. It can’t be. He’s just a toddler surely. He can’t possibly be that grown up already!

Charleygirl5 Fri 08-Feb-19 15:51:58

Flynn really is growing up so quickly. I agree, he was a baby in arms very recently. He will be a very good big brother when T. Rex appears. He is also very intelligent.

MawBroon Fri 08-Feb-19 15:56:26

He’ll be a cousin actually Charleygirl his mummy is DD2 and it is her younger sister who is having the baby. But living near each other and seeing a lot of each other, he is very aware of the imminent arrival of T Rex and has been happy to “help” sorting out baby equipment for the new arrival.
I do hope that isn’t really going to be his/her name though ??

Charleygirl5 Fri 08-Feb-19 16:00:32

Flynn will be a great help once the baby arrives and he appears to be looking forward to its arrival. I agree, not quite the name I would choose but there are worse around. He really has shot up. Is his daddy tall?

MawBroon Fri 08-Feb-19 16:04:14

Not specifically, Charleygirl just looking tall beside the Amaryllis!

soop Fri 08-Feb-19 16:34:28

Callgirl1 What's the matter? Can you share?

soop Fri 08-Feb-19 16:37:55

Maw OH, my word. Flynn is no longer a baby boy. He's soooo growed-up, as Torben would say.

N&G Your artistic skills have been inherited. You will treasure those precious creations for evermore.

soop Fri 08-Feb-19 16:49:19

It was good to spend time with Baggs. We just pick up where we left off. You lot were mentioned and we said complimentary things (about you) that just happen to be true.

My breast is a wee bit tender. It was pummeled and mamagrammed and ultra-sounded and two biopsies taken for the lab to deal with. Everyone was so kind. It was a cheerful clinic with lots of banter. Sounds silly, as most of the patients had cancer. I have an appointment with the consultant a week today. Not an early morning appointment, thankfully. We then discuss the results and agree on a "plan of action". The lady consultant hugged me and MacSporran ...bless him.

The weather is wild. The sea was swamping a stretch of pathway in Lochgilphead. Shingle being tossed up from the beach on to the road.

It's GOOD to be home. Just wanted to say hello. I shall return tomorrow and hope to do the impossible catch-up. hmm smile moon

Marydoll Fri 08-Feb-19 16:51:59

Glad to see you safely home, Soop. It has been "wild" in Glasgow, I hope the journey wasn't too stressful.
