Good morning, cool and damp after a beautiful clear night.
Still waiting for plumber to complete repairs in guest bathroom, been out of action for two weeks now.

Good morning all.Dry and dull in North Shropshire today.A busy day ahead taking mum to a solicitors appointment this morning then then a bank appointment this afternoon to sort out her accounts as a very overzealous young man at her bank decided at 86 she should be looking for a higher interest account and internet banking which she definitely doesn’t want.As a result she has no clue what accounts she has or where,caused her so much upset but hopefully we can sort everything for her today.

Good morning from a sunny south east, woke up to a pink streaked sky.

It's my gd's birthday today so will be busy decorating the gluten free birthday cake I made yesterday as she's coming to us after her ten pin bowling party to stay the night. Other than that a bit of shopping for bits and pieces.

Good Evening One and All! Another lovely sunny day; was 39C tops, but now cooled back to about 32C at 9.40pm. Another 39C tomorrow and maybe also Wednesday if our luck holds out! Loving it! Good for the joints too!
The OZ Open tennis started today. Thousands of specs. turned up; must be mad seeing as how its on free TV all day with cold drinks to hand with A/C on max. at home. Mind you, I don't watch! boring!

Good Morning to Everyone here. I am absolutely brand new to this site. Its, to me, Fascinating. So many of you are like the characters from the film cocoon. Spriyely, happy, carefree and offering support and encouragement to others. A pleasant place indeed. I read somewhere here that there is a laugh to be had here. I suppose my joining is a sort of a laugh? I just want a site where it is friendly and sociable , a wee bit like my neighbours. That reminds me; I must ask Maggie at Willowbrook Cottage if she needs anything from the Fishmonger who calls in his Fish Filled Van later today….. mmmmm….Tea time….? Yes…..

Linamillion, I am so sorry that your FIL has passed, but glad that both he and your MIL were able to enjoy so many years being together. I would send you flowers but my computer doesn't seem to recognize the way Gransnet does things. When my own Grandfather passed at age 76, it was very difficult for me to come to terms with it. I decided to choose to remember the good times I had with him and focused on his love he had for his family. I believe in a Hereafter, so am expecting to meet up with him again on the Other Side. Oh, I am so sorry! I posted on the wrong thread! I was going to just pop in to see how everyone's morning was, when I remembered Linnmillion's post and decided to answer it before I forgot to do so. Would have been nice if I'd remembered to not forget to change threads first! Lol.

It is a quiet, very cold, snowless (!) day here in Massachusetts in USA. The cat woke me up. Very insistent that I rise and give her some treats. After her 4th attempt to convince me that sleeping in was useless, I got up. She was quite happy and jumped into her little bed - to go to sleep! :-)

Well, it was a singularly boring grey day here in S Lincs today, but I did manage to semi dry the washing before it got dark and I fed my garden birds twice, so all is not lost! And I completed a card for my DiL and son’s WA and a card for my 5 year old GS, so he gets mail too! But the burning question of the day is Who is Mick and what problems is he having with Windows 10? I read GN every day and recognise lots of regular names, but Mick has escaped my notice - until now - but I hope he’s OK.
