Morning mick, morning all.

It is very, very cold in North Leicestershire so I'm drinking tea in bed and trying to keep warm.

We are going to Leamington Spa for lunch with 2 of DH's university friends and their wives. One of the wives can talk for England which I find very wearing!

Good morning Micheal, Kitty, Anniebach and all from a still- dark Birmingham, with just a glimmer of red in the eastern sky. It doesn’t look frosty and the wind has dropped. A walk in the park, a little reorganising of kitchen cupboard and fridge, and my second trip to the hospital this afternoon is all I have planned for today.

Morning all from a very cold Northampton. I have just popped out to the front pavement to put the food waste bin out and everything is covered in a think white layer of frost.

Nice lunch out yesterday with a teaching colleague from the 1970s - we met in the staffroom the year we were both married (5 days apart!) And have remained friends since then, nearly 50 years. Had a good trawl around the shops (what's left of them in Northampton!) trying clothes on.

I must make an effort to be showered and dressed by 9am as I have a Sainsburys delivery.
Out for lunch again today with one of my social clubs, looking forward to that.
Hope we all have a good day.

Hello to all.
It’s dark, starry and frosty here so like Kittylester I’m sitting up in bed with a cuppa.

Just pottering for me today.

Hope everyone has a good day. ???

Good morning All x
Dark, cold but dry here in the NW.

Headcold still hovering since just after Christmas-------what a nuisance ! Pretty dizzy at times too. So much for the 'flu jab ! INR @ 10am after missing it last week (oh dear )

D calling today between shifts at work so that'll break up the morning a bit. Apart from that, nothing on the agenda today so far.

Stay well everyone and enjoy your day whatever you do.

NanKate Thu 10-Jan-19 07:21:38

Morning Mick and All.

Dark and cold in South Bucks, so hunkered down in bed with a cuppa, my IPad and a sleeping DH.

We were going to Henley-on-Thames for the morning but as it will only be about 2° so I think we will postpone that trip till Saturday.

Have a lovely day Kitty in Leamington, I have many happy memories of my trips there in my youth, especially to a lovely little theatre called The Loft which I think is still there.

Morning everyone.

It's half light in Kent and definitely chilly.
Eye clinic this morning, DD driving me so we will have lunch after and she has some vouchers to spend.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning from a very frosty Black Country,

Over to Wolverhampton to spend some time with Mum, most like go out for lunch smile

I love Leamington Spa kitty , we often go on the train for a day out there. I know what you mean about 'talking for England, it can be very wearing and then you tend to 'switch off'

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a very chilly East Northants. Archery was miserably cold yesterday - the temperature in the leisure centre sports hall never went above 13.3 c, despite the fact that it should be 18 to 22c. All other rooms were well heated. Manager tucked away in his nice warm office was too 'busy' to speak to us, so one of our ladies has reported it to environmental health. We await the outcome with bated breath! Today I'm visiting a friend in her new home for coffee and chat. Hope it's a pleasant day for all.

Morning everyone! Sunny and yesterday’s wind has died down here in Malaga. No plans and glad too as I’ve woken up with a sore throat. Got my first cuppa of the day.
Good luck DoraMarr with your second radiotherapy appointment.

Gagagran Thu 10-Jan-19 07:56:34

Good Morning all from a frosty south coast. DH had put a cover over the car last night when I got back from choir so we were not iced up but all the other nearby cars were/are.

We have done the weekly supermarket run and are now having breakfast, with not much else planned for today. The supermarket was very quiet and I can only suppose the frost had put people off an early start.

Hope everyone enjoys their outings, lunches etc. It's supposed to get milder tomorrow, hopefully! sunshine

loopylou Thu 10-Jan-19 08:01:39

Good morning everyone from frosty north Wiltshire- heavier frost than yesterday here so very glad I'm not going anywhere today.
Quiet day, apart from ironing nothing planned ?

harrigran Thu 10-Jan-19 08:02:30

Good morning, itnis 5 degrees here which is way warmer than last night.
My sympathy kitty, I know what you mean about the 'talking for England', my sister is like that. I had a duvet day yesterday after being with said sister the day before, I was totally exhausted.
A spider, the size of a mouse, ran past me last night and I jumped and put my back out so I guess it will be another day of inactivity.

Pittcity Thu 10-Jan-19 08:09:18

Good morning from a chilly Colchester.

Good Morning to you all and to those who follow. Still fairly dark outside in Fife at the moment but looks quite damp. Have a day’s shopping planned today on my own, a day to myself. Food shopping first then a lovely browse around a favourite local shop. Looking forward to it. For all those still feeling under the weather take care. I hope everyone has a good day.

Anrol Thu 10-Jan-19 08:17:23

Good morning from frosty Shepperton.
Helped H scape car of frost at 5.50 this morning, otherwise was going to be late for train, needless to say I promptly went back to bed an am still here.
Sending abundant good wishes to you all, whatever you are doing today.

Marydoll Thu 10-Jan-19 08:26:53

Good morning all from Glasgow, it's 7 degrees, but feels much colder.

We have to check on DS's empty flat, as DS is "too busy"! It is impossible to park near it, so that will be my workout for the day. grin
After that, as day pottering about and then picking up DGD from nursery.
Best wishes for the hospital, Dora, Brunette, don't be spending too much. and Kitty ,enjoy your day out.
Have a good day everyone.

angelic Thu 10-Jan-19 08:29:18

Grammaretto Thu 10-Jan-19 08:37:45

Good morning from the Scottish Borders.
Quiet looking outside. A hospital trip later with DH but I'm not rushing.
I stayed up too late last night finishing my knitting so I can post it off and it will still fit the intended baby.

Anniebach Thu 10-Jan-19 08:49:32
