Anniebach No you dont need earplugs. It is connected by bluetooth i think on my tablet and wifi. I am not really sure how it all links up but i am sure someone here will know.My DH is very good with new technology so i am ashamed to say i just left it to him to sort it all out for me.

A beautiful assortment of lovingly, homemade, jams, pickles, drinks etc, from our GD, who is a new(ish) mum to a 17 month old , and busy wife. She puts so much thought into each and every item, and the gift tags were clever and witty.

I got a Rocketbook, which you can write in, then use the app to store your musings, email them etc. Then you can wipe the page clean and start over again!

I got a thingy to show the temperature outside and in , just looked , it calls itself a weather station . It tells me if I need a coat going out I love it

As I am foodie and love cooking, I got Fondue Gift Set as my Christmas gift from one of my secret Santa friend.

A beautiful tiffany lamp from my son I love to look at it and see a different shade or pattern I've dropped lots of hints over the years and I love it

one of my gifts is a DNA testing kit, this shows where your ancestors were, in what part of the world you have connections etc. Being adopted i have never really been interested in tracing my family tree, What has being adopted got to do with that I hear you ask ! Well I was 6 weeks old when adopted and my family is the family of the people who raised me, and of course no DNA connection there. I did trace my birth family but just didn't really feel a connection to them, my daughter wanted to find her roots so she started to delve into the family and she is really into this, so gave me the DNA kit as she has already done hers and she is interested in seeing how much of her DNA is connected to mine. Will be interesting to see how much we share once I get my results back from USA.

My daughter always gives me an annual parking clock so I can park unlimited in my local council area, It saves me a fortune over the year and is much appreciated. It doesn't have the car registration details on so I can lend it too, if I want to.

DD bought SIL a new Google speaker thingy - and I inherited their Amazon Echo (Alexa)! Not deliberately a present but I am thrilled with it.

A book I had thought about but had not bought for myself. A real surprise (and welcome) gift from DH, who remembered this from months ago. Usually we use the library but this is a book I'll keep.

A personal trainer for a year from my ex.
It means that there is no lying abed as he will knock and ring until you answer the door - time is money and I'm not going to waste it as I'm hoping to run a marathon next autumn.
