Good Morning Mick and Happy Christmas to you and all GNs!

It's too dark to see what the weather is doing here on the south coast but it's mild and dry and we are promised a pleasant day with sunny intervals.

We are going to DD's later for presents and Christmas lunch and I believe we shall be eating guinea fowl, which I love. Never been keen on turkey. There will be a vegan option for DGD so might try that too!

Father Christmas has been and left something under the tree - no idea what!

I wish all our Good Morning posters a very happy, healthy and peaceful day. tchsmile

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark and chilly corner of Somerset. Been awake since silly o’clock. Friend staying for a few days is unwell so keeping an ear open for her. Full day ahead for us with family. Wishing you all a contented Christmas Day.

Happy Christmas all! Cold in Oxfordshire this morning in holiday house. Just had a cuppa, checked the dog and will now go back to sleep! Hope everyone has a happy and peaceful Christmas. May those who are sad or bereaved have better days than they envisaged.

Good Morning's Mick and everyone. Was waken up at 04.11 This morning with a phone call from my lovely Granddaughter to let me know Father Christmas, had been. I'm off to feed the birds now.

Happy Christmas from a new GNer. Still to dark to see what's going on outside, but warm and welcoming at my DD's. Older grandchildren still asleep but having made myself a cuppa I see that the sacks under the tree are full!

Merry Christmas to all from still dark Scottish Borders.
There's a lot to do before the families arrive for a meal which we'll eat when it's cooked!
Hope everyone's day is happy.

Best wishes to you all from cold, dark Lancashire

Nanoo15 Tue 25-Dec-18 07:09:05

Wishing everyone a very happy Christmas Day wherever you are. We are expecting the grandchildren for second breakfast in a couple of hours so enjoying a quiet cuppa now. Hope to see you at the Gransnet party later party

Good morning from near Wellingborough today, and a Happy Christmas Day to all!

Still nice and cosy in bed at DD's; still very dark and haven't peeped outside yet.

Nice day yesterday; a good party at DD's neighbours with plenty of food and fizz, then came home for a Chinese. Smoked salmon and fizz for breakfast, I believe! And then get ready for DS and family to arrive, when the present opening will begin!

Have whispered Merry Christmas to DH, missing him so much, but will stick a smile on my face and be happy. Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Good morning and a Very Merry Christmas to all and to those who follow. It’s damp here in Fife frost all away from yesterday. Still in bed at DD house waiting for DGS to get up to see if Santa has been. Hope everyone has a great day. Ho ho ho. tchsmile

Juggernaut Tue 25-Dec-18 07:37:06

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
It's dry and quite warm here in west Cheshire, the dog walkers are already on the beach, with torches!
We're off round to see DGS open his presents fairly soon, and after the morning with them, home for dinner as just us two. (FiL was coming here, but apparently has had a better offer, suits us just fine!)
Hoping you all have a lovely day, especially those of you who are spending it alone. tchsmile

Good morning, Michael and Merry Christmas to you and all GNs and GNHQ! It is dark and very cold in South Yorkshire. The lights across the road are blazing so there will be two excited little boys opening their presents. There aren’t many small children in our road. We are off to DDs later for lunch. Happy day everyone!

Good morning and a very happy Christmas to all from the Lancashire coast where it is still dark.

Just having a brew before we go down for breakfast.

Sending love to everyone today especially those worried and those who are missing someone special!

We will have Christmas dinner today, just the 3 of us but no present opening until tomorrow when the GC arrive with daddy. They want to treasure hunt their gifts. That will be fun tchhmm
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning Mick all Gransnetters, from a chilly Glasgow but especially to the Good Morning regulars. Special greetings to all the new posters on this thread.

We had freezing fog last night when we went to Midnight Mass and the heating packed up in the church, DH was forced to have a hot toddy in the early hours to thaw out! grin

I hope everyone has a happy and peaceful Christmas and special hugs for all who are sad or unwell.

Have a lovely day.

ffinnochio Tue 25-Dec-18 07:53:40

Happy Christmas to you all, and welcome, Rose74.
Just having a quiet cuppa before the day gets going.
Visiting family later, after church, then back home to prepare our Christmas dinner.
It's very frosty here today.
Hope you all have a lovely day. ?

Good morning from a frosty but clear corner of N Bucks
Wishing you all a lovely day and if you are not with those you love yet, I hope you will be together soon.
On a selfish note, when I woke for a trip to you know where at around 5 this morning I remembered those happy days when little voices would wake us up around the same time announcing “Santa’s been!!!” and I also remembered why I suggested DD and SIL came with the children this morning rather than last night! brew

dragonfly46 Tue 25-Dec-18 08:30:52

Good morning all from Brighton. Lovely crisp day here.

Just going up to DS’s for present opening and lunch.

Hope you all have a lovely day and thinking of those who are struggling!

Good morning and a very merry Christmas to all! First one without Mum. Picking up eldest son and daughter in law to go to youngest sons in Northampton. He's doing the honours this year with my assistance. Hope it's a really good day for everyone.
