I shall save it till New Year as I am on my own, and it would be wasted if I opened it today as I go to DD tomorrow. I already have a bottle of champagne to take to DD. I did feel tempted, though!

Terrific BS. Enjoy it. I think that is what Christmas is all about. My own 'amazing' share is that I've just spent an hour in the garden gathering leaves as it's so mild here up North. Even managed to get them all down to the local tip. Can't recollect ever achieving this in December. Wonderful!

The mystery bottle of Prosecco in my previous post - apparently everyone in our close has one, and no-one has any idea who the Prosecco fairy is! We all woke up to one outside the front door! What a lovely gesture.

It’s another wet, grey dismal looking day outside today - I haven’t ventured outdoors yet.
Had the neighbours round last night, so just been finishing off tidying crockery away, unloading the dishwasher, etc.
Today, I’ve got some ironing to do, some washing to dry and tonight’s meal to put into the slow pot, plus a few presents to wrap. (I’m so late with that job this year ?). To be honest, most of it is done, just a few bits left to do.
Your gammon sounds nice mick. I’ll be cooking mine tomorrow. I like the cider idea - think I might give that a try.
It’s the festival of 9 lessons and carols in candlelight in church tonight, so will be going along to that.

Good morning from a wet South Wales. Had lovely family gathering at ours yesterday so house is already tidied.(fun y how quickly you can restore order when visitors are due). Today is last minute bits and pieces ad working Christmas eve and Christmas day. Seasons greatings to you all.

What a miserable dark wet day ! I won't be going so far.
My mouth was watering when I read Mick's gammon. Slurp !

Turkey out of the freezer today to thaw in readiness to cook tomorrow. Extra room for bits and pieces from M&S tomorrow.
More mince-pie making today as well as present-wrapping ( which has become a chore to me,sadly ) Ah well never mind, soon be all over, bar the shouting.

We're having steak today as I've already had two turkey dinners this week and another to come on Tuesday....so no Sunday roast.

Good morning all from a damp and misty Bucks. Can't get up as I have a wriggling body beside me in bed, plus a small dog, so it's story time again...love it!
Nothing planned today so shall attack daughter's ironing. What else are grannies for?

Good morning, grey and damp again today.
Family get together last night was great fun and the food was superb but I was awake most of the night with chest and stomach pains, hateful hiatus hernia.
DH has a CT scan at 10am and he is complaining he has woken every thirty minutes to look at the clock. We will both be wrecks today.
Youngest GD added to the evening by announcing that she had passed her piano exam with flying colours. The piano we bought her last Christmas has been put to good use.

Good Morning from a very rainy Black Country, and Partner is going to The Villa match today!

Housework this morning as Partners twin daughters (not identical) are meeting him at the match. Then coming back with him on the train for dinner tonight, and staying overnight before going back to their Mum's on the train tomorrow, to spend Christmas Day with her. They live in Bristol and London.

Also, some last minute food shopping, but I will walk into town as it will be manic there.

I hope your concerns are soon resolved for you corner and my best wishes to all of you feeling unwell or down at the moment.

Good morning all. Pouring with rain here in Northampton, and still very dark. Was thinking of going to rugby this afternoon, but not a good idea in this weather.

Just been to the front door to get the Sunday newspaper in and had a surprise - a bottle of Prosecco by the front door! Have no idea who it's from, no label on it! Well, I shall enjoy it very much, and many thanks to the kind soul who left it for me.

Cake iced yesterday, and new Kindle tablet set up. Some of my favourite sites required passwords to open them on the new device (including Hotmail and Gransnet) - could I remember them or find them? Cue new password links and going backwards and forwards between laptop and Kindle, but all set up now.

I have a ham to cook today to take to DD's, but will do it in orange juice in the pressure cooker. Hope it turns out as well as yours Mick. And I just fancy a hotpot for tea, so that will go in the slow cooker. Scrambled eggs for breakfast using the leftover yolks from yesterday's royal icing.

Missing the cats, but they are well as the cattery posts regular photos of all their guests on facebook - they looked fine yesterday.

Good Morning to everyone. Later up today, was awake a good of night but up and raring to go now. Dampish here in Fife but it looks quite calm. Have a busy day in front, cleaning cooking and a little shopping. Lots to do. Everyone still buzzing around. For those not feeling great or in the festive spirit keep your chin up. Good morning all. Grey and damp in East Northants. Caught up with sleep after yesterday. Arrived at the supermarket at 7 a.m. to find the car park nearly full and people already coming out with loaded trolleys. But we got everything on son's list plus a few extras, stopping for coffee and a chat before coming home. Nothing left to do now except wait for the big day! Enjoy a peaceful Sunday everyone.

Good morning Micheal, Annie and everyone from a damp but mild Birmingham. Coffee at a friend’s to admire her tree- she lives in a similar apartment to mine, but always has a huge living Christmas tree!
The baby disco yesterday was really good,both children enjoyed it, and so did we. Lunch afterwards in the Edwardian tearoom in the Art Gallery was good too, but goodness I was tired when I got home! To think I used to take four small children on the train to the Art Gallery! I must have had more stamina in my early thirties.
I’m cooking a roast turkey dinner for my parter and me later, but realise that because it’s a little turkey joint there won’t be enough stock for gravy, so may have to go to M&S again.

Morning all from Co Armagh , dark mild and dry out there . Been up since 6 tidying before my cleaning lady arrives , bed stripped but wash not on , need to add my PJs when I manage to shed them . Not any plans so far , seems strange not to be running about like proverbial the headless , DD1 seems to have taken on that role

Good morning Mick and all, it's damp here in Glasgow, no rain thank goodness.
We are off into town to meet DD and fiancé for our usual festive lunch. We are in the habit of meeting them after work on the last day they work before Christmas. Christmas being a Tuesday has messed that up! I hope there is no engineering work going on the railway or we are in trouble.
I'm sorry to hear of all those who are suffering from lack of sleep and have family worries.
