Annie it is biased statements like yours that really make me ashamed to be even considered the same sex. Women have fought for equality for a long time and have done so not by making themselves out to be only victims, but showing they are people who deserve to be treated equally, and who are capable of logical thought and behaviour. Your unfounded and quite frankly libellous remarks are just too much. You should be deeply ashamed of yourself. I am sure the second Mrs Corbyn would tell you to butt out and mind your own business and the woman reporter would laugh at you.
When women sink to such levels other women can and should reject them.

So obvious, he was angry , a woman raised her voice to him, this is a man who left his second wife because she wouldn’t obey him. It was a woman reporter who asked him one question and he squealed ‘ your harassing me ‘ and hid behind a glass door.

I suppose it might matter if it was said in the H o C for some arcane reason. In real life though I don’t see it matters where those truly unacceptable things were said.
I’m still of the view Jc said stupid woman and would prefer he hadn’t forbthe reasons I gave before. In the scale of comparisons Eloethan raises, it begins to sound more like Captain Mannering’s “stupid boy” .

It seems to me that so much fuss is being made about a muttered remark, the likes of which I feel quite sure most people - and certainly MPs - have muttered (or even spoken aloud) when they are confronted by boorish behaviour.

However, explicitly violent and, in my view, dangerously provocative words have quite recently been used by Conservative MPs against May, as were widely quoted in the press in October:

"The Sunday Times quoted one unnamed Tory MP as saying: “The moment is coming when the knife gets heated, stuck in her front and twisted. She’ll be dead soon.”

"Another said May was now entering “the killing zone”, and a third remarked: “Assassination is in the air.” In the Mail on Sunday, a source was quoted as saying that May should “bring her own noose” to a meeting of backbench Tories.

"A No 10 spokesman said that there would be “no investigation” by the whips into which MPs had briefed Sunday newspapers.

"One Tory MP and public critic of May, Mark Francois, said the language was “unacceptable” but added that that he would not tell the Conservative chief whip, how to do his job.

"He said the language was born of frustration ...." [Oh, that's OK then].

So, it seems the Conservative Party was not prepared to investigate what I believe many people would consider to be the unacceptable use of violent language directed towards their leader. But they are quite happy to express outrage at Corbyn for muttering "stupid woman/people" about their leader/or party.

There was enough bad behaviour on BOTH sides of the house so playing partisan politics is simply that!

Why should ANYBODY treat female / male politicians with respect if the likes of Corbyn don't display respect.

At first I was pretty sure he said “stupid woman”, but watching it later, I could see his lips forming the ‘p’s of ‘people. I’m fairly neutral on Jeremy Corbyn, and this is a genuine assessment of the footage.

He was looking directly at Mrs May and said ‘stupid woman’
Some labour MP’s have said he should have apologised, perhaps you think they are in the pay of JRM

The BBC camera was focussing on the Tory MP's too as it immediately followed PMQ's as a Point of Order was raised re Corbyn saying ' Stupid Woman' and Parliamentary etiquette. It would equally be as silly for someone to be saying the BBC cameras focus on Tory MP's to make a partisan point .

Do you watch, can you watch BBC TV coverage from Parliament and the Loirds where you live?

The camera may have been on Corbyn but actually all the action was on the government benches where there was a great deal of jeering and barracking and he said "stupid people", referring to this. Just watched it again and it is quite obvious.

Of course it was a BBC camera!

The BBC airs Parliament 'live' and during the PMQ's session it is the case the camera focuses on the politician either asking the question or the politician after his/her question has been answered by the PM usually. Hence it was on Corbyn.

BBC Parliament is aired ' live' on other t.v stations if there is a presumed public interest so why do you blame the BBC?

SKY probably got it from the BBC.

Many times you see MPs gossiping in the background - what are they saying? But it's only Corbyn the BBC is concerned with.
I agree that Corbyn has weaknesses, but do think there's a concerted effort on the part of the BBC to bring him down.

There is a split in the professional lip readers with quite a few seeing "stupid people". Even if you are qualified lip readers Day6 and Annie I think your political bias woud render you unsuitable to decide. You may think what you wish, it doesn't make it true.
