Is it me or is anyone else fed up with seeing pictures of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex holding onto her bump, it has been constant since day1 of the announcement.now I am not averse to seeing pregnancy bumps , in fact it can be lovely, but I truly feel it’s almost as if she is acting all the time. It is starting to really grate on me , I wish someone would tell her to stop!!!

I have to agree. She is so competitive and wants the limelight. The fact she is always pushing for the limelight even upsurging Princess Eugene's wedding day with the planned "on pregnant" line really sickened me of her and her antics. To the point l cannot stand her.
Has she not learnt it is better to be humble & in the background of the Royals. In her proper place within the hierarchy. I knew this would happen. Just so that her ego is pampered to.....
I'm sorry but Princess Diana, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have the people's Love and no one on this earth will ever take that from us.
Megan is an actor nothing more. So desperate for the leading role that she will NEVER. Have!!!!

she would have known marrying into the royal family placed her on the world stage but in fairness she may not have realised she would be a minor royal.

Anniebach. Agree. Camilla and Kate carry out charity work however we know their future will be Queen consorts. I recently read that one paternal relative used the words Delusions of Grandeur.

I wrote a message earlier but it hasn’t appeared.

Meow, Meow,
Just put your paws (claws) over your eyes ladies?

Anniebach Wed 19-Dec-18 20:13:14

About whom Sarahell ?

Mycatisahacker Wed 19-Dec-18 20:59:00

Why do you post this twice?

You are that jealous of a pregnant woman? Wierd

MissAdventure Wed 19-Dec-18 21:01:13

How do people know what she wants?
I barely know what I want, let alone anyone else!

MargaretX Wed 19-Dec-18 21:17:55

Well sarah...Nobody is queen consort until the husband has become king, same for Kate. I even read that including little George, three future kings were one photo together.

There is no certainty in this uncertain world that this will happen.

Annoys me too. I get that she feels protective, all of us who have been mothers understand that, but it's like she's trying to draw attention to herself. There has been much said in the press lately about how she treats staff (imperiously), how she wants (and gets) her own way, how she is the cause of a widening rift between Harry and William. You have to take some of the press reportage with a pinch of salt, who really knows what goes on, and what business is it of ours anyway. But she has gone down in public opinion apparently, especially when you add her apparently soured relationship with her father and how she has ignored him since her marriage.

Rowantree Thu 20-Dec-18 10:41:14

Who cares? Honestly? It's just another baby, albeit an expensive one.

GillT57 Thu 20-Dec-18 13:01:00

Oh for heaven's sake, leave the poor woman alone. I think the tabloid press have taken against her and they keep drip drip drip their nasty, scurrilous stories. Highlandlass, you need to get out more.

Elrel Thu 20-Dec-18 13:42:22

Would you want to be her? I certainly wouldn't.
And, about the 'acting' - what do you expect? Don't most of us wear a mask to a greater or lesser extent when out in public and, especially, if we are the focus of attention?
She is adapting to a new role in every sense, look what constant criticism and press exposure has done to other royals and celebrities and back off.

lemongrove Thu 20-Dec-18 13:49:02

Elrel I don’t know, it’s not a bad deal is it? Having almost anything you want, and the best of it too, living in luxury in a beautiful house with your adoring husband.Being feted wherever you go and your words hung upon and flowers presented to you etc etc.
Am not a Royal watcher, just see them now and again in a magazine or tv, but from the things I have seen, Kate has adapted well and really fitted in, and Meghan not so much.

Anniebach Thu 20-Dec-18 14:15:50

Kate accepted what came with her husbands job , not a down trodden little woman, just as women who marry a man in the armed forces, marries a doctor, a police officer, a politician.

Billybob4491 Thu 20-Dec-18 15:09:11

Mawbroon - the lady in the picture you posted was not pregnant, we had a Speaker at our club and she brought this picture along, apparently it was the fashion of the time.

merlotgran Thu 20-Dec-18 15:12:25

Wasn't that also how they used to smuggle people out of the dungeon? grin

Jalima1108 Thu 20-Dec-18 15:45:43

Was Bonnie Prince Charlie smuggled in that way?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong wink

Baggs Thu 20-Dec-18 15:46:01

Find me a modern media picture of a pregnant woman who doesn't have at least one hand on her bump.

Everyone does it. It's the fashion. It's how people know you're pregnant ?

soop Thu 20-Dec-18 15:47:04

MillyG Thu 20-Dec-18 18:05:36

Ruthiek- it’s you sweetie. smile

nannyof4 Thu 20-Dec-18 20:41:46

Must admit its getting on my nerves too seeing her hanging onto her bump, plus reading about her and katie on line

Jalima1108 Thu 20-Dec-18 23:37:09

It's just an unconscious way of 'protecting' your bump.

Lyndiloo Fri 21-Dec-18 02:23:29

For goodness sake! Stop being so sour and unkind. (Not everyone!) I agree with Jalima 'It's just an unconscious way of protecting your bump.' All pregnant women do it!

It has become a long-standing habit with the British press to raise somebody up in the popular esteem, and then shoot them down with nasty tales, innuendos and gossip about them. Leave her alone! Time will tell what sort of person she is. Not the media.

Teetime Fri 21-Dec-18 08:55:46

Meghan who? tchsmile
