Good morning, very cold but dry here, none of the promised rain or snow.
Got half of GC's presents wrapped yesterday plus three lots of birthday gifts sorted.
DS has holiday to take so no childcare needed for the coming week, just as well as I have all sorts of appointments. Why do health appointments always occur at the busiest week of the year ?

Morning Mick, morning Annie and all. It's cold here, but dry, and I am still in bed with my early morning tea, but must get a wiggle on as we are due to meet up with friends for coffee later.
There is free parking in town on Saturdays, up until Christmas, so I expect everywhere will be packed.
I had a good day baking yesterday, and made a meat pie for supper. Also a date and nut loaf cake and some double chocolate muffins, which I have frozen for later, after DH sampled one of the muffins, he said they were good.
Have got to buy some more wrapping paper today, as on line deliveries are due soon.
Enjoy your weekend one and all.

Good morning all, from a very frosty, wet & windy west Yorkshire..
Amber warming here too, so once i can drag myself out of this warm bed, i will be wrapping presents & cleaning! The grandchildren are coming for strictly & takeaway this evening, so it's possible i may not leave the house today..
I hope you have a lovely day ?

Good morning everyone from a cold but so far snow-free Birmingham. I was up at 6.30 this morning with an aching hip. Nice cup of tea and some stretches helped. Baby grandson woke at 7.30 and he’s having his morning sleep now, so i’ll have my shower and get dressed- have spent the morning on the floor playing with him. My daughter’s office has a Christmas fare, with free food, so we’ll all go to that, then I really ought to buy some Christmas presents!

Morning all. Bitterly cold and plans to put up outside lights shelved due to very high winds. The snow is not here yet but the gritters are out. Tonight is the Strictly final - love the music. Have a good weekend all.

Good morning All x
Oh the weather ! So stormy here and have spent the morning retrieving fallen objects outside. Empty bins , next doors flower pots scattered its pebbles over her front ( she's away ) my own oleanders fallen and I was perished.

Was going to go to the bank but it'll have to wait as I can't risk being blown away. Being so near the sea is what does it. Don't fancy the sailings today ! Poor passengers.

Finishing writing cards a couple of letters and a phone-call today. Not heard from a lifelong friend who I trained with in the 50's---not looking good.

Hope all is well with everyone take extra care with these winds.

Good Evening All;
Urmstongran: I take it you will not be off to Etihad to see City thrash the "Toffees" today! tchgrin We will be getting it "live" shortly (11.00pm), so I hope your weather doesn't ruin things. Expect to see the crowd rugged-up! Go City!

A late good morning from a rainy and bitterly cold Black Country,

Was in town for 8.30 to get a decent parking spot. Collected DD's 40th birthday cake, a few bits and pieces from Tesco, and home by 9.20 smile

Have homemade vegetable soup simmering for lunch.

Had a lovely Christmas meal yesterday in Shirley with friends, and partner had his work Christmas meal in Birmingham, so no cooking last night!

Catch up on housework today, then relax this afternoon. All my Christmas shopping is done, just waiting for one more item to be delivered.

Have a good Saturday everyone.

I'm surprised that this storm on Merseyside hasn't been broadcast very much. It must be causing damage in a few places as when those winds pick up it's sounds like a roar.

I sat and watched part of the building where I am floating past the window. It looks like part of a frame from a window so I'll have to ring the repair men on Monday to get it seen to. It's horrendous here.
