What do you wear ?

When do you get into them at night and when do you get dressed in the morning?

I am up with the lark, make my tea go back to bed for some IPad time, then get dressed.

In the winter I’m often in my PJs at about 5.00 pm ? before I start preparing the supper, how decadent is that ?

PJ's in winter nightdress in summer.
I don't like putting on pj's much before 10.30pm and during this time of year with parcels due it's a shower early a.m. dressed and lipstick on after me crumpets hahahaha .

If my family caught me in my pj's in the late morning they'd think I was ill.

Most days, up by 6.00 and bathed and dressed by 7.00. I am an extreme lark and if I am not up and dressed by then the day is ruined.

I used to not get ready for bed until bedtime (10.00 - 10.30) but recently I have started getting ready for bed (night dress and dressing gown) sometime between 8.00 and 9.00 and I then come downstairs and read or sew or like tonight, do some work, preparing a presentation for tomorrow. It means that if I am up to bed late, I can just get into bed and snuggle down

Up at 8am woken by a trio of dogs wanting to go out. Out for a walk, back at 9.30 am. Time for coffee and cereal and a catch up with the news and GN.
I very rarely put my T shirt nightie before 11pm. Our garden is not attached to the house so if the dogs want to go out I need to supervise them, don't want to scare the neighbours by appearing in my nightie.

I'm way too hot in bed for PJ's, so it's a satin nightie for me.
I get up and showered, then dressed, at bedtime, undress and put on nightie, clean teeth and into bed.
I dislike swanning around in nightie and dressing gown.

How I wish I was/were a lark....more of a slug

Pyjamas. I get dressed at about 8am, apart from the 2 days I go to work, and then it's 6.30am. I love wearing my pyjamas at about 7pm if I'm staying in (3 nights a week I'm in)

Anniebach Fri 14-Dec-18 22:19:47

I get undress at 10.50pm, in bed in time for the news . I sleep in knickers and a tee shirt, get up and dress at 9.20am after two mugs of tea and looking on here.

My bed attire is bra and pants, stripped into at bedtime. I’m getting increasingly lazy at getting out of bed early on days I don’t have to and often spend an hour or so reading and/or browsing the internet before I get showered and dressed. Sometimes I barely make it downstairs for Pop Master. smile

I'm another one who wears absolutely nothing in bed. I'm just not comfortable tangled up in clothes. Needless to say I wear 'normal' clothes until I retire! I often tell DH how much I have saved us over the years by not wearing expensive nightwear. If I need to answer the door or if I get up to make coffee in the morning I wear a kaftan-type-thing.

Maggiemaybe Fri 14-Dec-18 23:37:01

I answered the door fully dressed to my postman the other week and he said it made a change to see me with my clothes on! To clarify, he usually sees me swathed in my red fleecy dressing gown.

FlexibleFriend Fri 14-Dec-18 23:50:44

short t shirt type of cotton nightie.

paddyann Fri 14-Dec-18 23:58:04

dont wear nightwear ,will stay dressed until bedtime .I usually stick on some pants and a maxi dress when I get up if I'm staying in for any length of time otherwise dressed for the day after my shower

Ailsa43 Sat 15-Dec-18 00:28:53

Sleep naked. Out of bed in the morning, straight into the shower, then dressed, and I stay dressed all day. Never wear Pj's or any nightwear unless I'm in hospital...

BBbevan Sat 15-Dec-18 01:57:08

Our house is a bit draughty ( DH is sorting it) ,so a long sleeved nightly this time of year. Wake about 6 and read if DH still asleep. If not he makes tea and we watch Breakfast tv in bed. Up, shower and dress about 8 ish. In the evening up to bed between 9 and 10 and read or do GN until sleepy.

Blue45Sapphire Sat 15-Dec-18 08:35:16

Nothing in bed either, never have ever since I met late DH! (I only ever wore Chanel, a la Marilyn Monroe!) . The only time I do now is if DGDs are sleeping over and they come in during the night. Have a nice fleecy dressing gown which I put on in the mornings to go down, feed the cats and make a cup of tea, and I tend to sit around in that for half the morning till I have a shower. If I am not going out on a Sunday I will slouch around all day in a nice pair of lounging pyjamas, which is what I shall be doing tomorrow as I wrap the presents.

DanniRae Sat 15-Dec-18 08:47:40

I sleep in knickers and a vest top unless it's very cold and I then wear pj's. In the morning - about 7am - I put pj bottoms on and a dressing gown. Different thickness of dressing gown depending on the weather. Right now I am in maximum thickness!
The only thing I tend to remove for evening comfort is my bra and that gets dropped down the side of my armchair till I retrieve it in the morning.

farview Sat 15-Dec-18 08:51:56

PJ pants&, t-shirt for evenings, sleep wear vest top/knickers. Shower at 7a.m and dressed...

petra Sat 15-Dec-18 09:11:07

I don't wish to offend anyone, honestly I don't smile but I have a real dislike of dressing gowns. I'm always reminded of the tv drama, Woman In A Dressing gown.
I always wear a Kaftan in the morning.
Only a bra in bed.

rubysong Sat 15-Dec-18 09:12:35

I love my tiger onesie, (yes, it does go in the wash). A bit of a faff going to the loo but so much more cosy than a dressing gown. I put it on as soon as I get up then bring tea and breakfast back to bed to do emails, Facebook and GN. Up and dressed when BBC Breakfast (TV) ends.

Lisagran Sat 15-Dec-18 09:22:05

Goodness, many of you must live in well heated houses - I’m very mean with our heating, so it’s chilly here at times. Always wear a long sleeved nightie, then dressing gown (sorry petra tchsmile - it is purple and spotty grin ) when I get up. Our gas / electric bills are quite low!

Carolina55 Sat 15-Dec-18 09:22:13

How different we all are! I’m a smile and perfume girl winter and summer except when I’m ill....for some reason I feel I have to wear pyjamas to get better!

Lisagran Sat 15-Dec-18 09:27:48

A “smile and perfume girl” Carolina55 - great phrase! That’s me in the summer, or in warm places on holidays - but not at the moment!

Grandma70s Sat 15-Dec-18 09:29:28

I wear my nightie and dressing gown as much as possible, because they are just so comfortable. I hate clothes, especially bras and anything round my waist! My dressing gowns (winter or summer) are reasonably elegant, and I am not worried about being seen in them.

In fact I usually get dressed in the morning by about nine, but I’m in nightie and dressing gown by about 4.30 pm. I live on my own so I can do as I like. Today, after a bad night, I think I may not get dressed in proper clothes at all.

Teetime Sat 15-Dec-18 09:46:18

Definitely a nightie person although I do have 2 pairs of Xmas pyjamas (bought last year) for lounging at my daughters (with dressing gown over so as not to gross out 14 year old grandson).
