Good morning Mick and all to come.
Still blowing a bit of a Holley out there!
Might sneak back under the duvet for another half ur!
Off to Brum again to see DGS in the “Nutcracker” (again) - my last chance as the season ends on the 13th.
He is exhausted as he is only 8, but has loved it!

That was a “hooley “ and “half hour” ! But iPad thought it knew better it seems.

I'm up with the larks this morning - it's one of those days when I woke early, and try as I might, couldn't drop off again so decided to come downstairs for a cup of tea and a chat.
As other posters have said before, Venus is shining brightly in the sky this morning. It looks beautiful and reminds me that Christmas is drawing near, as it reminds me of the star the Wise men followed.
Got the tree up yesterday, as next weekend we are busy and the following weekend, well, it's more or less Christmas, then, isn't it? Anyway, it's done now, but it did mean that I didn't get my cards written which I'd intended doind, so that's on today's list.

Still dark here on the south coast but the forecast is good today. Fingers crossed for a continuation of that!

I had a busy day yesterday so plan a quiet one today. I sorted out the Christmas presents ready for wrapping yesterday but that is still to do. Might leave it until next week.

Hope the Nutcracker is a great success Maw. You must be hugely proud of your DGS.

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark, dry and very draughty corner of Somerset. Would still be asleep but guests to feed and a day to organise. Enjoying their company if getting a bit ragged round the edges. Sounds a wonderful day ahead maw, a huge achievement for your grandson. Gift bags have been the wrapping of choice here for a few years mick, works for us. Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.

DH and I are in Derbyshire. We went to Chatsworth House yesterday to see the Christmas displays. Each room had a fairy tale theme. It was beautiful. The weather wasn't though. We got thoroughly soaked! Journey home this morning, via Leeds for the Christmas market. We've enjoyed our weekend away though. It's been a good little break.

Good Morning everyone and to those who follow. Dark here in Fife just now but I believe to be a bright day. 46 years married today - wow! It was snowing that day, which is what I had dreamed of for our wedding. Off to celebrate with our DD, DSIL, 2 x DGS's with a santa train journey. So looking forward to it followed by lunch looking over the water. Hope everyone and has a good day, for those not feeling great look after ourselves.

Good morning everyone from a damp Northampton.

Stayed dry yesterday luckily for the rugby, and a good match and outcome - we won 48 - 14! But it was bitterly cold, and a glass of red wine during the second half helped to warm me up...

Hope to put up and decorate the Christmas tree today with the cats supervising of course. Be strange without DH, but I am determined to celebrate Christmas as he would have wanted.

Elder DGD has started her panto run, and all seems to be going well. I am going next week. Hope you have a lovely time today, Maw. You must be so proud of your DGS.

?Brunette we are only a year ahead of you. My mum and dad had a snowy Wedding Day and it looked lovely as it must have done for you too. Have a fun day with the family.

The Victorian decorations were lovely at NT Hughenden Manor yesterday. Today it is finishing off Christmas cards then going to hear a Gospel Choir in one of the local churches tonight.

It is dry, and promises to be sunny, here in South Yorkshire. We are off to junior footie later this morning, bit of a trek but at least this side of town. Another bad night in the Lester household. This time one of the cats had evaded the bedtime kitchen curfew and came to let us know at 2.30!!

Wrapping looms large on my horizon today - a mix of brown paper and bags!

Grey and windy here in Kent. DH is off to the plot soon. I suppose I'd better write my cards today, not much of a chore as we only post about a dozen plus a few hand delivered ones.

Family get together at my sister's today for Christmas and BIL's 50th.

Morning Mick, Maw and all from a damp and cloudy Aberdeenshire. Baking delivered safely yesterday for Santa's grotto but had to drop it and run as, half way there, I remembered that I had left a pot of soup simmering on the stove! No great disaster, but the veg are a bit overcooked. Tastes OK though. Am off to see a friend who was rushed in to hospital with pancreatitis...painful! Shall attack the cards and parcels when I get home. Have a quiet. Dry and peaceful day all and enjoy the Nutcracker again, Maw...is your DGS a wee moose?

Good morning. It looks a bit damp outside but not too bad. Put the tree up yesterday but could I find the lights? They were new last year and why they weren't with the rest of the decorations I don't know. So it's off to buy more lights this morning amongst other things. Don't know why I bother really, I seem to put up less and less in the way of decorations every year and then take it all down at the earliest opportunity! Have a good Sunday everyone.

Morning all - usually only a lurker but have bestirred myself this morning! Damp in E Cheshire but sky is bright so hoping! Mick, DDs3 and I have been using bags for years and recycle round each other!

Gooid morning all.
Happy anniversary Brunette and Mr B. The Santa ride sounds a lovely way to spend the day.
I "slept" in this morning. We had a very stressful day yesterday.
For some strange reason the electrics in both our cars failed and we couldn't get into either of them. Called the AA, who insisted the reg for my car belonged to a car I had twenty years ago! It was all very bizarre. Just as AA patrolman arrived, DH's car started working fine. Mine did not! These cars are only a year old, so it was all very strange.
We eventually got to the restaurant for DIL's birthday lunch, but DGD's asthma wasn't good and the wee soul was so geumpy.
I took her on my knee where she promptly threw up, due to all her coughing, all over me, DH, her mummy, herself and the table. .
I had to wash her clothes in the toilet and dry with the hand dryer! (DIL forgot to bring a change).
We all had to go home, no lunch for me and a very smelly journey home. DH had somehow manged to eat his lunch.
I am just going to chill today!
I hope everyone has a very peaceful Sunday (including me).

Good Morning everyone, from a very rainy and windy Black Country.

Had a lovely day yesterday seeing DGD's in their Drama group production of Alice through the Magnifying Glass. There were two productions and 10 year old DGD played different parts in both. They did so well, as youngest is only 7.

Today is our family meal for DD's 40th birthday. I have organised a cake, and I am off to fetch the inflated 40th birthday balloons this morning. I cannot believe my youngest is now 40! The actual day is the 18th so she isn't quite yet
