I am in PJs, silver, it is my normal dress on a Sunday if I am not going anywhere! Mind you, I have had a shower, and the PJs are clean (do not wear them in bed...).

silverlining48 Sun 09-Dec-18 14:12:07

Afternoon all, am i the only (lazy) person who has only just got up and still in pjs.? Trying not to feel guilty, have a slight sore throat but other than that have no excuses. Shoukd i need an excuse? No.
Its after 2 pm so too late to do much other than curl up in front of the tv. Enjoy whats left of the day people.

Good morning, cool and dry. Thank goodness the wind has eased.
Going to visit GC this afternoon, they are putting up their tree.
NannyJan my youngest was born on the 18th too but he will be 47.
Happy anniversary Brunette, enjoy your day.

Sar53 Sun 09-Dec-18 09:35:24

Good morning everyone from a dry and bright Essex by the sea. Not much planned today as OH is due into hospital at 7 tomorrow morning for a second hip revision operation. He had the first done last year.
Marydoll, my daughter will have sympathy with you over your poorly DGD. My DGD, age 3 threw up in the car on Friday morning, she's been poorly ever since and my DD spent yesterday evening from 7 til 2 this morning in A&E with her , her temperature was over 40° and she hadn't wee'd for 12 hours. I'll ring later to see how she is. Unfortunately she lives 150 miles away so I couldn't be there.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Walking with a friend today.

EllanVannin Sun 09-Dec-18 09:11:46

Good morning All x ( second attempt )

So far bright and mild here in the NW.

D coming for her dinner after work and I'm more or less organised but must get a shower and liven myself up.
Hope all is well with everyone.

Good morning All x
A bright, mild and cheery morning in the NW.

Just finished tidying and putting away empty boxes of tree decorations. Couldn't be bothered doing it last night. One of the cats chose one box to sleep in last night so didn't have the heart to move him ( Bertie ).

D coming for dinner today from work but I'm pretty well organised now save for jumping in the shower to liven myself up.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Good Morning everyone, from a very rainy and windy Black Country.

Had a lovely day yesterday seeing DGD's in their Drama group production of Alice through the Magnifying Glass. There were two productions and 10 year old DGD played different parts in both. They did so well, as youngest is only 7.

Today is our family meal for DD's 40th birthday. I have organised a cake, and I am off to fetch the inflated 40th birthday balloons this morning. I cannot believe my youngest is now 40! The actual day is the 18th so she isn't quite yet smile

Have a good Sunday everyone.

Marydoll Sun 09-Dec-18 09:06:52

Gooid morning all.
Happy anniversary Brunette and Mr B. The Santa ride sounds a lovely way to spend the day.
I "slept" in this morning. We had a very stressful day yesterday.
For some strange reason the electrics in both our cars failed and we couldn't get into either of them. Called the AA, who insisted the reg for my car belonged to a car I had twenty years ago! It was all very bizarre. Just as AA patrolman arrived, DH's car started working fine. Mine did not! These cars are only a year old, so it was all very strange.
We eventually got to the restaurant for DIL's birthday lunch, but DGD's asthma wasn't good and the wee soul was so geumpy.
I took her on my knee where she promptly threw up, due to all her coughing, all over me, DH, her mummy, herself and the table. sad.
I had to wash her clothes in the toilet and dry with the hand dryer! (DIL forgot to bring a change).
We all had to go home, no lunch for me and a very smelly journey home. DH had somehow manged to eat his lunch. angry
I am just going to chill today!
I hope everyone has a very peaceful Sunday (including me). grin

Morning all - usually only a lurker but have bestirred myself this morning! Damp in E Cheshire but sky is bright so hoping! Mick, DDs3 and I have been using bags for years and recycle round each other!

Willow10 Sun 09-Dec-18 08:47:29

Good morning. It looks a bit damp outside but not too bad. Put the tree up yesterday but could I find the lights? They were new last year and why they weren't with the rest of the decorations I don't know. So it's off to buy more lights this morning amongst other things. Don't know why I bother really, I seem to put up less and less in the way of decorations every year and then take it all down at the earliest opportunity! Have a good Sunday everyone.

oldgaijin Sun 09-Dec-18 08:46:04

Morning Mick, Maw and all from a damp and cloudy Aberdeenshire. Baking delivered safely yesterday for Santa's grotto but had to drop it and run as, half way there, I remembered that I had left a pot of soup simmering on the stove! No great disaster, but the veg are a bit overcooked. Tastes OK though. Am off to see a friend who was rushed in to hospital with pancreatitis...painful! Shall attack the cards and parcels when I get home. Have a quiet. Dry and peaceful day all and enjoy the Nutcracker again, Maw...is your DGS a wee moose?

Pittcity Sun 09-Dec-18 08:42:56

Good morning from a bright, for the moment, Colchester. Looks like it's going to be a this and that day weatherwise.
Family get together at my sister's today for Christmas and BIL's 50th.
Happy Anniversary Brunette and Mr B??

ninathenana Sun 09-Dec-18 08:31:40

Morning everyone.

Grey and windy here in Kent. DH is off to the plot soon. I suppose I'd better write my cards today, not much of a chore as we only post about a dozen plus a few hand delivered ones.
Lots of people doing exciting things today I hope you all have a good time.

kittylester Sun 09-Dec-18 08:23:18

Morning all from my bit of North Leicestershire where we had rain overnight and still have some on the Windows.

Another bad night in the Lester household. This time one of the cats had evaded the bedtime kitchen curfew and came to let us know at 2.30!!

Wrapping looms large on my horizon today - a mix of brown paper and bags!

You must be so proud, maw - enjoy!

Greyduster Sun 09-Dec-18 08:17:53

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Plus one here for gift bags, too, Mick.
It is dry, and promises to be sunny, here in South Yorkshire. We are off to junior footie later this morning, bit of a trek but at least this side of town. Then the family are coming for a very late lunch. Everyone is so busy these days, we just have to fit in! Happy anniversary Brunette10 - have a lovely day?!

Auntieflo Sun 09-Dec-18 08:17:31

Morning Mick, Annie to come and all others.
Congratulations Brunette10 on your anniversary.
It was dry here, but is now raining. Off to Church later. DH is doing the AV, but it has been playing up lately, so, fingers crossed, and I am on coffee duty.
Later we are going out to lunch with a group of friends, so looking forward to that.
I got our decorations up yesterday, and love the twinkly lights.
Have a good day one and all.

NanKate Sun 09-Dec-18 08:02:43

Morning Mick and All.

?Brunette we are only a year ahead of you. My mum and dad had a snowy Wedding Day and it looked lovely as it must have done for you too. Have a fun day with the family.

The Victorian decorations were lovely at NT Hughenden Manor yesterday. Today it is finishing off Christmas cards then going to hear a Gospel Choir in one of the local churches tonight.

Cloudy calm day in South Bucks.
