Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and wet outside here in brackley .
I am suffering in pain on my left leg, I had a fall coming home yesterday, slept OK though.
I slipped on some unseen muddy patch , lucky help was at hand a contractor whose vehicle was parked in the way, with his door open , forcing me to walk on a muddy area, and then fell , he helped me up .
Today I see the nurse as to my diabetes result , but will mention the fall , which she may notice walking wise , hopefully it will take the day to recover properly if she says different then will leave it up to the surgery .

Good morning from a wet Colchester. Shopping and haircut this morning. May have to miss Wednesday coffee meetup in town as we have DGS2 this afternoon and there are not enough hours in the day.
Why do people park inconsiderately without thinking about pedestrians, Mick. Hope you get reassurance from your surgery.
((Hugs)) to travelsafar.

Cold and wet in Cheshire. Exactly how I feel today.

Good morning from a grey south east. We bought the gc's Christmas presents and Christmas cards yesterday, so had better start on the overseas ones, probably missed the latest posting date for those anyway.

Going to the gym again this morning, I have a bit of a stiff hip, but it's better after 30 minutes on the treadmill.

Other than that, usual stuff, ironing, cooking and laptop. Oh and catch up with "Mrs Wilson" which I dozed off in last night, not because it's boring, but because I tend to do that around 9 pmish .

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all,
Wet and miserable here in South Yorkshire today. It's meant to be like this for most of the day - such a contrast to yesterday.
I'm sorry to hear about your fall, Mick and glad you are going to take it easy today, but contact your surgery if it worsens.
So sorry to hear your sad news travelsafar. My condolences to you and your family. flowers
Rufus hope you are recovering from your fall, too.

Too cold, wet and dreary in Sussex to venture out, so I’ve just ordered my grandsons Xmas card on line while he is at school. His pup was quite compliant but his face says it all ?

Good morning; very wet here in Northampton. My goodness I'm late this morning! I was out at a dinner last night, and slept in. DD stayed overnight as she was at the dinner too.

Sorry to hear about your fall Mick, and hope you feel better soon.

Should be on a Health Walk today, but not planning on going in this weather. So will get the Hoover out instead!

Youngest DGD being dropped off after school, as her sister and mum will be at panto rehearsals. Just have to find out whether I need to give her tea.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning, it is wet and miserable here in the north.
I slept until 9.45. I must have worn myself out yesterday, I removed 5 sacks of books from shelves throughout the house.
Take care Mick and Rufus.

Best laugh of the day Marydoll hope your DH doesn’t read this thread. ?

How sad Travelsafar.

My mum died on my DH’s birthday. The first couple of years were hard but now I can celebrate with DH and toast my Dear mum.

I am so sorry travelsafar. So sad for the whole family.

I just scraped in before midday after being on the phone ever since I got back from the school run, changing broadband and phone provider. Quite my least favourite job.

Now I can get back to preparing for the arrival after three more sleeps of daughter and three grandchildren for a month. I bought a small but real tree yesterday and it will be ready for the children to decorate. So excited.

Hello from a damp and very cold Cambridge. This is my first post to GN. I'm happily grieving for my old cat who was killed instantly by a car in the small hours of Saturday morning. I say "happily grieving" because we're doing all right, life is going on, and it does me good to have a quick couple of tears and then get on with it; I have the Jacquie Lawson Advent Calendar on my screen and the first bit of music is "O Little One Sweet": I play it every day. She was beautiful but - er - cussed. Wouldn't let me pick her up, and always licked the jelly off the food and then complained because it was dry. But mercifully when she was run over it must have been instant because there were no injuries to the body, only to the head. She liked to sit in flowerpots, and we'd just bought a new one specially for her, so her ashes will go into that.
