Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and wet outside here in brackley .
I am suffering in pain on my left leg, I had a fall coming home yesterday, slept OK though.
I slipped on some unseen muddy patch , lucky help was at hand a contractor whose vehicle was parked in the way, with his door open , forcing me to walk on a muddy area, and then fell , he helped me up .
Today I see the nurse as to my diabetes result , but will mention the fall , which she may notice walking wise , hopefully it will take the day to recover properly if she says different then will leave it up to the surgery .
Mick

Morning Mick and all who follow. Sorry to hear about your fall Mick, I hope the nurse can reassure you. It's still dark in East Northants but not too wet so far. Not a good forecast for the rest of the day though. Archery for me this morning followed by coffee meet up. Hope its a good day for everyone.

Good morning Mick, Willow and all to come.

It's dark and damp here on the south coast after a lovely crisp, sunny day yesterday.

Hope you are not too sore from your fall Mick and soon back to normal.

The painter is coming again to continue with the hall and stairs. He got colour on the feature walls yesterday and I was well pleased with it until DH came home from his bike club Christmas lunch and said "Well I don't like that". Men!

Choir tonight and a debrief from the concert last Saturday then a free choice sing along. Should be fun.

Enjoy the day everyone.

Morning, Wednesday.
Got up early but still late for work, what a bad start.

Grammaretto Wed 05-Dec-18 06:58:56

Morning Mick and all. Still and dark but dry in the Scottish Borders. I am sorry about your nasty fall Mick. You may need to rest today. I was out and about yesterday being very careful on the black ice. I have broken my wrists more than once in past years. Take care everyone.

NanKate Wed 05-Dec-18 06:59:38

Morning Mick willow and All to follow.

Let us knowMick how you get on today at the Clinic. Hope you are not in too much discomfort.

Off to Dentist today for tiny filling.

Wet, mild and windy in South Bucks.

Morning all from a soggy North Leicestershire.

It's horrid to fall over, mick, isn't it? It really shakes you up. I hope the nurse can help. Please let us know.

I finished my Christmas decorations yesterday and broke the back of the cards so, today, I have to finish the cards and do the ironing that I didn't do yesterday.

Derby school run today....in the rain!

EllanVannin Wed 05-Dec-18 07:13:27

Good morning All. x
So sorry to hear about the fall Mick. It does shake you up somewhat, hoping that it's all good when you see the nurse.

Dark dingey blowy and wet here in the NW,so glad I got all my grub etc yesterday so that I don't have to face the elements today. Will write cards and get them out of the way.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Good Morning from damp Black Country, just back from taking Partner to train station and it is not too cold.

Sorry about your fall Mick, take it easy for a few days. My friend slipped on ice 3 years ago and broke both wrists! It was a few months before she was back to normal.

I am off on a coach trip today with friends, Bridgnorth way for a 'Festive Christmas meal' with entertainment tchsmile

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning to everyone and to those who follow. Mick hope you are OK and pain doesn't cause too much discomfort. Very frosty and foggy here in Fife today. Have DGS1 today and taking him to a festive sing-along, first one he/we have been too. So looking forward to it. Christmas jumpers on tchsmile. Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Michael and all GNs from a very soggy South Yorkshire. Take it easy Mick. A fall is a shock to the system and you may not feel the effects of it straight away.
We had a decent walk yesterday, but housework is piling up so must get down to it today. Have a good day folks.

Good morning everyone from a dark, damp Birmingham. A quiet day today, apart from writing group in the evening, so I’m planning a bit of a tidy-up, including a book cull. I’ll go out later for my usual walk in the park, I hope it brightens up a bit.
I hope you’re not too bruised after your fall, Mick.

Good morning everyone from Leamington Spa, not sure what the weather is doing at the moment. I'm off home back to Essex later, a long journey by train, but better than driving on the M1 and the dreaded M25. Looking forward to seeing OH as I've been away for a week.
Look after yourself Mick, hope you are not too sore.
A Happy Wednesday to you all.

Off to see my SIL as sadly on Monday my youngest brother dies unexpextedly. Such a huge shock for the whole family and to make it worse it was SIL birthday so a double whammy for her every year now both B/day and Xmas will be a sad occasion. The weather is matching my mood at the moment, grey and damp. Hope you recover from your fall MIck and wish everyone a good day whatever they are doing.

Good morning Gransnetters from a very frosty Aberdeenshire...was woken by the sound of multiple windscreens being scraped. Minus 8 in Braemar. Am off to pick up a new microwave from Argos this morning as the old one died last night...just what I need. Have a good day, all.

Good morning from the NE coast.

Hope you are feeling okay after falling Mick and not too bruised.

Have a good Wednesday everyone.

NfkDumpling Wed 05-Dec-18 08:10:47

Morning All

Wet and ‘Orrible here in Norfolk. A good day for sorting out cupboards.

I hope you aren’t too bruised Mick, falling in mud usually involves becoming airborne for a few seconds with a very painful landing. Not to mention the undignified limp home covered in mud. Take care. Its good that the nurse will be able to check you over.

dragonfly46 Wed 05-Dec-18 08:15:50

Good Morning everyone. As Kitty said it is very damp in Leicestershire.

Sorry to hear about your fall Mick.

Terrible news Travelsofar. So sorry to hear it. Really puts my problems into perspective. Sending hugs to you and your SiL.

I am supposed to be walking with friends later but may end up in the tearoom.

Nana3 Wed 05-Dec-18 08:16:33

Nan; What miserable weather everywhere! Must be the Old Dart. sad I sympathise with Mick. I too fell over on Sunday, not because of ice, but sitting out in the sun (30C) on a plastic chair; front off-side chair leg snapped and now have bruises everywhere that I can see. Nothing broken except the chair! You'll have to throw another virtual birthday party for someone to cheer us all up! tchgrin

Marydoll Wed 05-Dec-18 08:18:53

Good morning all from a frosty Glasgow.
I'm quite late this morning as I couldn't sleep. I had to go out late last night to pick up DH from the station, but got caught unawares as a heavy frost had descended. The windows were thick with ice.
What a carry on, as scraping my car is impossible with my painful hands and as usual I had left it to the last minute, so as not to have to wait in the dark. That is DH's job!
I resorted to de-icer, which DH wouldn't approve off at all!

DH ( a shy man) was so excited, as three women had sat beside him and proceded to "chat him up". I said they either needed glasses or they were drunk! grin

Travelsfar, I am so sorry to hear your sad news. This is the anniversary of my FIL's death today and it was certainly a very difficult Christmas for his twelve grandchildren that year without papa.

Mick, please make sure you ask the nurse about your leg.

Enjoy your Wednesday, everyone.

NfkDumpling Wed 05-Dec-18 08:20:27

The chair leg must have melted in the heat Rufus! I hope the bruises you can’t see aren’t too painful.

I shall now go and scan through the summer photos to remind me of the wonderful summer (and drought) we had this year.

NfkDumpling Wed 05-Dec-18 08:24:10

Oh, gosh Travelsfar, so sorry I missed your post chatting to DH. How terrible and what a shock for you all. (((((Hugs)))))

aggie Wed 05-Dec-18 08:29:13
