Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark outside less windy but looks cold here in Brackley.
some of you may not be aware of the road closure between Brackley and Banbury , it closed in August , due to a steam bridge failure , they have supposed to have started work on it last Monday, but bad weather for the time of year might make it longer.
Its causing chaos locally ,and there is a e-petition up as well .
Mick

6th day of gilets jaune protests here. Food and fuel supplies disrupted and roads blockaded
Warm and sunny earlier but clouding over now.

Thank you for that NanKate I guessed as much to be honest . Poor Ann I know it would have been a very hard decision to make but definitely the right one.

Good morning, blue sky and frost in Lancashire.
WI event for me today, looking forward to it.
Best wishes to Annsixty, we're all thinking of you.
Have a good day everyone.

Auntieflo Thu 22-Nov-18 08:52:53

Morning Mick, Annie and all.
Thinking of AnnSixty and hope she managed to get some rest.
Woke to quite a frosty day here in Berks.
DH out later, helping train AN Other for the AV at Church. Shopping for me, or rather to help fill DGD’s cupboards, as we are descending on her for the weekend. Really looking forward to seeing our GGS, as he is growing so fast.
To all with hospital, Dr’s appointments, and ailments, have a peaceful day.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Cold and grey in South Yorkshire. After yesterday’s walk I feel as if I have been kicked down two flights of stairs, so I am going to have a gentle-ish day, ready for the school run later. Have a good day folks.

harrigran Thu 22-Nov-18 09:10:10

Good morning, it is grey and damp. It was frosty when I went to bed.
Appointment with surgeon was good, he feels confident that my corrective surgery has worked and I do not need any further procedures at present.
Expecting parcels today but hopefully come this morning so I can go out later.

Lovely to hear good news Harrigran and commiserations to all the others! I must start to get organised today! It would help if I woke up a bit earlier ...grin

Good morning everyone. It’s almost midday here in Spain. It rained all yesterday and throughout the night. Wet as anything out there. I feel sorry for anyone out here on a week’s holiday as it has rained pretty solidly on the Costa del Golf since Saturday morning.
Hope you are feeling less down MawBroon - the other morning you said you were glad of your cleaner coming as you’d have to pin a smile on your face.
Best wishes Anne60 going forward. I hope you can smile now and again amongst your sadness.
And gillybob I do hope the awful dealings with the insurance company over that works van are getting sorted for you now. That sounded a very stressful situation and I recall you were very annoyed and upset.

Peardrop50 Thu 22-Nov-18 10:28:57

Good morning all. Cold overnight in Anglesey but beautiful blue skies this morning. Hope Mr Kitty's retina is soon sorted and that Marydoll perks up soon. Glad everyone else seems well and chirpy. Waiting with the rest of you to hear that Annsixty is copying with the very sad change in her life. I'm sure her husband will be well cared for and hope for more peaceful and happier times ahead for her.
Wishing us all a better day every day x

Had lovely news yesterday of the birth of my first great grandson! Shan’t be seeing him for a week or so as I am still convalescing after hospital in Cambs and he is in Kent. Thanks to modern media loads of lovely pictures of the happy family!

Greetings from a continually dreich and windy Aberdeenshire. Think I'll make a start on the family's Christmas cake today and fill the house with nice smells. Sciatica is much improved.

Feelingmyage55 Thu 22-Nov-18 10:59:16

Dull but trying to do better here. Stayed up too late looking at the wonderful full moon. Was up very early for a delivery, unpacked and hidden away for Christmas. Off out to a local Christmas craft and coffee day. kitty hope all will be well with your DH. What are the symptoms that you/he noticed. I should google. Hope everyone who is under the weather feels better as the day goes on.

Good morning,
It’s a cold, grey and dreary morning here in South Yorkshire. There was a keen frost last night, but it must be slightly milder as the frost has gone.
Those of you feeling not so good today, keep warm and cosy and I hope you soon feel better. I do hope annsixty is coping, it is bound to take some adjusting to and I send her all my best wishes and some flowers.
Take care, all. ?

Rosina Thu 22-Nov-18 11:13:59

I just about qualify for 'Good Morning' - got up too late today, rushed about madly, should have done things calmly as 'More haste less speed' has meant I have wasted at least two hours in my flurry. Cold here in Suffolk .

Good luck with the retina situation kitty - sounds like your OH has got a quick response; chin up it will hopefully soon be sorted out.

xxxbestgranxxx Thu 22-Nov-18 11:14:26

Good morning.

annsixty Thu 22-Nov-18 11:35:12

Good morning all.
I am overwhelmed by all the very kind messages and good wishes.
I didn't sleep at all well and had to be out by 8.45 am to go pick up my husband and take him to the stroke clinic.
He is as good as he is going to be so he was discharged.
Not a good start at the care home as he was wearing someone elses clothes, they were actually very nice clothes but not his.
The story was so bizzare, he and another man had been put to bed in each others beds and so were dressed by the early morning staff in the clothes in that room.
Apologies were profuse but not reassuring on the first day.

Mapleleaf Thu 22-Nov-18 11:39:13

Oh dear, annsixty, that was definitely not a good start. I wonder how they managed to put them in the wrong rooms? So confusing for your DH and the other gentleman. I do hope it never happens again.

DoraMarr Thu 22-Nov-18 11:44:13

Oh dear annsixty-how distressing for you! I hope the care home are more on the ball in future.
I'm still in my pjs, having a very leisurely morning after a very busy day yesterday with my two year old grandaughter, and before what will be a very busy and rather sad day tomorrow driving to Oxfordshire for a memorial service. I'm doing the driving, which I don't enjoy.
I plan to finish reading the book we are studying in writing group and start on out homework. I need to do a little shopping, and then I am out this evening to an event. I must stop looking at boots and down coats on the internet-so tempting when they are 30% off!

Grammaretto Thu 22-Nov-18 11:47:45

What a shame annsixty to have that happen on his first day. But they did apologise so perhaps it won't happen again.
I don't know the story but presume you have been caring for him at home and you could no longer cope. All the very best wishes to you both.
Here in the Scottish Borders it is dark and driech and I have a virus to match the miserable weather so have been taking it easy today..

CaroleAnne Thu 22-Nov-18 12:17:04

Good morning everyone. A belated post from Warminster.
I hope that all who are infirm or unwell will stay in the warm and recover.I hope that this post does not disappear like some others that I have tried to send.

CaroleAnne Thu 22-Nov-18 12:23:26

I think that my post has been accepted at last. Would someone be kind enough to let me know?
My best wishes Carole.

MawBroon Thu 22-Nov-18 12:26:26

I can see it Carole can’t you?
Welcome!
