Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark outside less windy but looks cold here in Brackley.
some of you may not be aware of the road closure between Brackley and Banbury , it closed in August , due to a steam bridge failure , they have supposed to have started work on it last Monday, but bad weather for the time of year might make it longer.
Its causing chaos locally ,and there is a e-petition up as well .
Mick

Good morning Mick and all to come.
Still pitch dark here and feeling cold.
The only reason I am awake is because somebody ? ? who shouldn’t have, apparently snuck upstairs and would appear to have spent the night on a spare bed (despite the closed door) and I heard her moving hmm

Morning Mick, morning all.

It's dark and cold in North Leicestershire and all plans are up in the air as dh has to be at the eye clinic at 8.30. He was diagnosed with a possible detached retina.

The NHS is great. He rang 111, was given an appointment at the local Urgent Care Centre. The gp there rang the Eye Clinic, who confirmed his initial diagnosis and the gp then referred him to the clinic.

Ouch Kitty but glad it was not (even) more serious.
Wonderful to have speedy treatment - best wishes to him and an extra energy boost to you flowers

Good morning everyone. Very frosty here in Northampton this morning.
Just been hearing about the Banbury/Brackley road on local radio this morning, Mick, and have signed the petition.
Mince pies made yesterday, but think I overfilled them! Trip to Sainsbury's this morning for more mincemeat!
Good walk yesterday afternoon through the woods in lovely sunshine, then tea at the local garden centre. Black Friday sale on, and gave into temptation and bought a nice smart black parka, half price!
Hope we all have a good day, especially Kitty's DH.

Marydoll Thu 22-Nov-18 07:36:16

Good morning Mick and all. Bitterly cold her.
Best wishes to Kitty's DH and to Ann.
I'm feeling pretty grim today.
We have DGD today, no choice. DS in London, DIL working and Mr MD has an appointment. I want to curl up in a corner somewhere. sad
Have a good day all.

Good morning to all, beautiful sky here in Devon so hoping for another sunny day. Planning a possible cycle ride to town, chilly but feel in need of some exercise.
Do hope you all have a good day and a good outcome for your dh’s eye kitty.

Good morning everyone . Usual morning rush for me . At least its stopped raining .

ninathenana Thu 22-Nov-18 07:45:42

Morning all.
Another damp grey day in Kent. Taking DS to a second hand music shop in the next town run by a charity that employs special needs people, he's having a taster day. I think he will enjoy it.
kitty I hope DH is ok
Mary I hope you fell better, and manage to grab you quiet moment.

Good morning all. Very cold and frosty in East Northants. There seem to be a number of railway bridges closed for repair in this area too recently Mick, I wonder why they have become such an issue all of a sudden? Bit of shopping today and then cuddle up back in the warm! Hope it's a good one for all.

cornergran Thu 22-Nov-18 07:51:41

Morning Mick, Morning All from a clear, frosty corner of Somerset. Little sleep last night, so seriously groggy. Need a food shop or the friend arriving to stay will have nothing to eat. What a good job your husband made that phone call kitty, wishing him and a poorly maryd well. Hope Thursday is kind to everyone.

Morning All

All grey and miserable looking outside in the north of Norfolk.

Some of DH’s cousins and his sister are coming for a light lunch. I’ve cleaned the downstairs loo and the kitchen and plumped the cushions. Just waiting for DH to wake before I hoover through!

Good Morning from a cold and icy Black Country.

Had a pleasant time at Stoneleigh Abbey yesterday with afternoon tea. Motorway wasn't as bad as I had feared.

Trip to gym this morning after all that cake smile

Talking of spare beds Maw, I found next doors cat on ours one morning, can only think she got in through our slightly open bedroom window!

Wishing your DH well today kitty, it is wonderful how he was seen so quickly.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all ?

Good morning Anniebach ?☕️?

Looks cold outside here in SE Essex. Dental Hygienist this morning, still feel under the weather, sore throat, fuzzy head but hey Ho just have to get on with things.

Hope all goes well for Mr K Kitty, wishing you well Marydoll.

Hope you had a restful night Annsixty and that your Husband is settled.

Wishing you all a peaceful Thursday ?

Good Morning everyone.

Just back from our weekly supermarket trip. Got a half-price box of men's nice toiletries which will complete my shopping for DsiL's 28th December birthday. He likes his smellies!

So sorry to hear about Mr Kitty's eye problem and fingers crossed that it can be fixed. Chin up kitty - you will cope, as you always do! flowers

The choir concert run-through last night was just awful. We seemed to be singing into a duvet - no energy, no expression, lots of errors. Oh my! Just hope it will be alright on the night. Quite demoralised about it.

Thinking of Ann and hoping she is feeling less fraught today. So many good wishes and so much support on GN for you Ann flowerswine.

Have a good day everyone, even though it's a bit brrrrrrrr!

Brunette10 Thu 22-Nov-18 08:08:07

Good Morning everyone. Dull and damp here in Fife today and very chilly, heating been on for an hour and it's still airy. There seems to be a lot of ill-health here today so sorry to hear of those feeling under the weather. Not good. Shopping and tidying up to do today, think shopping will be a quick one and back home. Look after yourself everyone for those feeling under the weather.

dragonfly46 Thu 22-Nov-18 08:11:40

Kittylester I too am spending the day in the hospital but dreading it!

travelsafar Thu 22-Nov-18 08:16:46

Gagagran blimey what time did you hit the shops!!! smile Hope all goes well for Kitty's DH and that Mary gets some rest at some point in her corner. First real frosty morning here in Letchworth, fed the birds and had to break the ice on the birdbaths. It looks lovely though the lawn is white and all the shrubs are coated in frost too. Planning on doing my supermarket shop this morning then out to Whist this evening. Have a happy productive day everyone and take care in the cold.

Anniebach Thu 22-Nov-18 08:20:11

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Hope everyone has a good day x

gillybob Thu 22-Nov-18 08:21:47

All the good wishes to Ann (sixty?) have got me worried . I don’t venture into the kitchen, but I’m sensing something not quite right . I do hope someone can put my mind at rest that’s she’s okay ?
I know she has a very hard life with her H but I don’t want to rush in with a PM incase I’m way off the mark .

Anyway if you’re reading this thread this morning, I’m sending you lots of love and best wishes dearest Ann flowers

Sewell61 Thu 22-Nov-18 08:26:38

Good morning from a cold SE. Need to sort the timer out on my heating, so it's warm when I get up.
I can't find the paperwork!! Looks like Google will be helping.
Have a lovely day everyone grin

NanKate Thu 22-Nov-18 08:28:02

Morning Mick and All.

I can understand how frustrating it must be Mick with the bridge closure. We have a lovely bridge in our town over the river with weight restrictions. A couple of years ago a foreign lorry tried to go over it and caused major damage. It had to be closed for some time. The lorry company as a way of recompense paid for all our Xmas lights that year.

What a worrying time for you and DH Kitty keep us up to speed with his progress.

Do feel for you Mary. I think it is time to get out the film Frozen and chill out in front of the tv with your little one.

Sunny and very cold here.

NanKate Thu 22-Nov-18 08:32:04

Gilly Anne60 husband went into a Care Home yesterday. After a long marriage it must have been such a hard thing to do.

Pittcity Thu 22-Nov-18 08:33:12

Good morning from a grey, wet Colchester. Lights on still.
We have 3 year old DGS today and tomorrow from 7am to 7pm. The house is already covered in toys!
