nonanan2, you're on a mission, on a roll or just out to irritate. I was very irritated by your comment a couple of pages back, that blood from an injury would be much more painful than menstrual blood.
My periods up to the birth of my first child were so painful, I sometimes vomited, had to leave work and stagger home to bed and were honestly, much more painful than the pains I experienced in that first labour. I was stunned because I was expecting significant pain but it was no worse than the periods I experienced on a monthly basis.
During the pre and menopausal stage of my life, the blood loss and clots were such I needed huge amounts of sanitary protection and even that didn't last an hour before I was in some little local difficulty. That was another phase when menstruation was unpleasant and uncomfortable.
I'm not ashamed of being female, I celebrate it. I also celebrate the menopause which was easy and means I no longer have to fanny (whoops) around with sanitary protection and pain killers.
