Good morning Mick and everyone. Still dark here, hoping it stays fine as car is going in for service and I have a long walk home.
Good for you doing your forward planning Mick, I admire how you keep busy enjoying yourself.
Have a good day all.

Morning Mick Nana3, morning all!

It's still dark in North Leicestershire but not cold. We had a lovely break in Suffolk but it's time to hit the ground running (ish)!!!

Volunteering this morning and then to find a new cleaner before we disappear under the dust.

Enjoy your days everyone!

Good morning from Birmingham, where there is a rather beautiful sky at the moment. I’m off to fetch my two year old granddaughter shortly. She’s always lots of fun. The concert last night, of a Macedonian folk- music inspired pieces, was really good, although it was hard to understand some of the time signatures. We will have a quiet day today- my granddaughter was two yesterday, and has had a family party on Saturday, an outing on Tuesday and another little celebration yesterday, so she can have a nice walk in the park and a visito to the swings and slides today.

Morning Mick, Morning All. Dry at the moment in our corner of Somerset. Off to have coffee with an old friend this morning, Granny detail this evening, not much in between. Hope Thursday is kind to everyone.

Good morning all. Grey and damp here too after the most stunning sunset last night so I was hoping for better!
Off to Birmingham later to try to help DD with 3 children who seem to need to be in about 4 different places after school, including DGS’s rehearsal at the Hippodrome. The excitement is building - well for me at any rate, I expect he is taking it in his stride! Last year after his end of year performance at the theatre I asked if he had enjoyed being on the big stage. He hesitated a bit, then said “No Granny.”...(I began to wonder) ..”I loved it!” grin
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Good morning Mick and all. Our sky is different shades of dark blue with a little grey, it looks a little forbidding, but somehow quite attractive.
We are off to the Ideal Home Show and then for lunch at a prestigious fish restaurant, courtesy of DH's birthday voucher.
Well we hope we are,
Two year old DGD was very unwell yesterday and it all became quite stressful.
She had already seen a GP yesterday morning about her asthma, mum dropped her off and just after mum left, she developed excruciating ear ache. After phoning the surgery for advice, a receptionist phoned back hours later saying, she has to have ibuprofen or take her to A&E!
I would never have taken my own children to A&E with earache, so I wonder if this is a new thing. Off I went to the pharmacy, but something was niggling in my head about Ibuprofen and asthmatics.
I meet a friend who is retired GP and she advised against Ibruprofen, as did the pharmacist! What a palaver. Why on earth did the GP advise Ibuprofen, knowing she had unstable asthma???
However, by last night there seemed to be an improvement. I'm just waiting to hear how she is, before we go for the train.
I refused to drive today, as I plan to sample the gin samples. hic....
GrannyGravy, enjoy your meet up, I love going to them.
Mick, I have been dropping hints for the Mama Mia DVD for Christmas. grin
Have a good day all.

Morning everyone, looks quite bright and dry here in Fife today so let's hope it's a good one. Marydoll, what a quandary to have. I hope everything works out OK for you and DGD is feeling better today. Quite right, don't drive and enjoy the fruits of the day! For all you gransnetters meeting up today, have a good chat and enjoy. Shopping for me this morning and DD and DGSx2 will be here for lunch. Another busy day. Hope everyone has a good day, for those of you under the weather, take care.

Willow10 Thu 15-Nov-18 07:46:05

Good morning all. A bit grey at the moment but dry in East Northants. DS2 picking me up for a hospital visit this morning. Probably call somewhere for lunch on the way home. Pub quiz tonight, so I need to set the recorder for Dark Heart. Hope today is good for everyone.

Marydoll Thu 15-Nov-18 07:46:15

I should have said, "Country Living Fayre", I'm at sixes and sevens! confused

EllanVannin Thu 15-Nov-18 07:51:28

Good morning All x
Beautiful bright clear start in the NW this morning. Expecting GD at sometime so a mixed grill for when she arrives as it's an easy option.
Must phone to arrange 'flu-jab after deciding that I'd better "go for it",although the surgery had run out of vaccine last week so possibly new supply,we'll wait and see.

Hope all is well with one and all.

Morning Mick and All

Calm and cloudy in South Bucks.

Kitty can you send your new cleaner down to me too as there is a layer of moon dust in our house. ?

Mary what a very worrying time for you with your DGD in such distress. I find I have to go very carefully with the reception staff at the doctors as they take even a slight criticism of them as a black mark against you. Hope she feels better today.

I have an appointment tomorrow with my new dentist as I either have a tooth infection or neuralgia, not sure which.

Good morning from a grey Leigh on Sea. I am looking forward to meeting GrannyGravy13, Sar53 and ebayqueen in Rayleigh this morning. Weather forecast is for a bit of sun at 12ish so fingers crossed as Holy Trinity Church and Rayleigh Windmill looks so lovely in the sunshine. Have a lovely day everyone

Pittcity Thu 15-Nov-18 08:18:20

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester.
I had the choice of Essex GN meetups in Colchester, Wanstead and Southend this morning, but I am on Grandma duty instead.

Grammaretto Thu 15-Nov-18 08:32:52

Good morning from the Scottish Borders. The sun is just emerging but it looks clear and calm.
I don't think I have to go anywhere this morning but have lost my diary.

Gagagran Thu 15-Nov-18 08:37:33

Good Morning everyone.

Late today after our weekly supermarket trip. It is cloudy and dull but very mild here on the south coast.

I thought I would have a light bill this morning but having decided to stock up on bathroom toiletries and Christmas chocs (for gifts), plus two stocking fillers, the bill was much the same as usual.

I had a good list-making session yesterday and did a fair bit on online shopping so am feeling organised. As a Virgo I need that!

Choir was a bit of a shambles last night. Our regular accompanist was away and the stand-in was not very good. Half the choir had been suffering with a lurgy, several were away and our poor MD was pulling her hair out when she realised we only have two more rehearsals before the concert. Hey ho! hmm

Hope the day is a good one for us all.

Alygran Thu 15-Nov-18 08:38:10

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Very foggy here, I can’t see across the field behind the house!
Catching up with friends for coffee then a third night out in a row. This time a flower arranging demo.
Hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in a cloudless South Yorkshire sky but it is cold!! Two new tyres to be fitted to the car today, if they arrive in time, then school run later. NanKate dust is nature’s way of protecting your furniture........ Have a good day folks!

PECS Thu 15-Nov-18 09:25:33

Good morning..bit late today but have taken DGD to school, had breakfast and sent a few urgent emails for my role as school governor so I am not just lazing in bed! Grey day here but not raining.. just damp air! No particular plans today..so maybe a bit of ironing or other tedious chores until the DGD are here after school!
