I spotted this quiz when watching the banned Iceland advert. It says I am a true introvert, as I spotted the rogue items within a second or two. Part of my work used to be to spot the occasional abnormal cell amongst thousands of normal ones on cervical smear slides, so it seems I was in the right job! The introvert character traits mostly applied to me except the artistic and talented part. smile

I didn't see the button or the butterfly, but all the others jumped out at me. So I must be an introvert too. It was right about me not having many friends, and also rather reading a book than going to a party.

A complete introvert here. Happy with my own company most of the time, dislike groups of people and have an eye for detail. My work involved a lot of quality control.

Only a couple of friends but that suits me.

I saw all but candy and butterfly even as the test began. Found both before the allotted time-----Introvert ! Suits me.

Marydoll Fri 09-Nov-18 15:50:50

Wow! I found all of them, apart from the butterfly within a few seconds.
The analysis was really accurate about me. I have always found it hard to be in a large group, absolutely hating parties.

Framilode Fri 09-Nov-18 15:59:50

I saw them all almost straight away. So, yes a true introvert. I knew that anyway, but am becoming more and more introverted. Recently I find myself avoiding people altogether.

What a load of American crap, spotted them all and I am not an introvert, quite the opposite.

glammanana Fri 09-Nov-18 16:17:07

I missed the butterfly and the button but it describes me down to the letter as I am my own best friend.

I like this TED talk. Susan Cain author of Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking

www.ted.com/talks/susan_cain_the_power_of_introverts?language=en#t-264839

Three minutes or so in she estimates a third to half the population are introverts, that we confuse introversion with shyness which are two different things. Introversion is more about preferring quieter low-key environments.

Few would call me as an introvert. I'm the person who gets invited to parties because I'm interested in people and good at getting conversations started but I loathe noisy shops, bars, cafes restaurants, trains and buses where everyone whether with someone or alone is talking. It's babel.

I cannot concentrate if there is any noise and find myself getting very irritable if there is. I would never survive in an an open plan office. Give me a book and a silent room. I am definitely an introvert.

BBbevan Fri 09-Nov-18 16:34:54

DH and I both introverts. We knew that anyway .

I also saw them all. I think I am wary rather than shy with new people. Although I can ‘do’ group situations if needed I certainly dislike crowds and avoid parties, I like a quiet, calm space and am very content with my own company. I’ve always believed I’m instinctively introvert.

Introversion - Extroversion is a scale and not 2 separate boxes. It was developed by Hans Eysenck, a psychologist. I remember taking the test 30 years ago (mature student) and I was right in the middle! I need my time alone and my space, but I also need company sometimes (but not TOO much!)

Blinko Sat 10-Nov-18 09:41:23

I got them all except the candy right away. I wouldn't have said I was introverted, but do dislike noise and crowds.

GabriellaG Sat 10-Nov-18 10:45:45

It's not an accurate theory, just a bit of fun, nonetheless, I spied all of them before he'd even stopped the chat intro to each picture except the butterfly. I ran right out of time with that one.
I might add that I'm completely comfortable in any situation and company and equally happy to spend time alone. Definitely not an introvert. My qualifications have been in analytical fields but I don't think that plays any part.

sarahellenwhitney Sat 10-Nov-18 12:00:16

I became bored after the second picture and gave up. So in what category does this put me.?I have never enjoyed parties, large family 'get togethers' etc . Much to late DH annoyance who on many occasions accused me of being unsociable and a few other choice ! words. However in my element and never held back when having to give ' talks' on the products of the company I worked for in front of large audiences, and being asked questions, as was part of my job.

Delibes Sat 10-Nov-18 12:04:18

sarahellenwhitney Have you watched the Susan Cain TED talk I linked to above? She works as a lawyer and seems comfortable talking in front of a huge audience but is nonetheless an introvert.

dustyangel Sat 10-Nov-18 12:11:33

shysal having seen photos of some of your cake creations,
I’d say that you definitely are artistic and talented. smile

I will look at the quiz tomorrow as I am travelling at the moment.

Ambivert!

grannymary Sat 10-Nov-18 12:50:55

Definitely an introvert, all of the items jumped out at sometimes before the clock started except for the butterfly. I couldn’t see it all. Much prefer my own company and a book to a party any day and always been that way

MaryXYX Sat 10-Nov-18 13:17:01

I only missed one - the cup of coffee. I found some before the clock started. Yes I am on the Autistic Spectrum.

dogsmother Sat 10-Nov-18 13:30:01

All before the clock started pretty much apart from the butterfly. Never considered myself an introvert before ?
However in a group I do prefer to go into myself and prefer to just observe the dynamics that are going on.

mabon1 Sat 10-Nov-18 13:40:40

Rubbish

janeainsworth Sat 10-Nov-18 15:27:02

I agree with you carly that it is a scale, not two boxes.
On the Myers-Briggs test I am in the middle between introversion and extroversion.
I love parties and seeing my friends but prefer working in a quiet environment, and having time by myself too.

mrshat Sat 10-Nov-18 15:27:36

Exactly like dogsmother grin

madmum38 Sat 10-Nov-18 15:46:01

Apart from number 5 I found them before he said what to find
