Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny West Country. DH has to stay in for a delivery but I might just have to go out in case this lovely sunshine disappears later on.
I do have some winter plants to put into tubs though, so perhaps I'll do that instead.

Let's hope the injection has done the trick, Maw

EllanVannin Wed 24-Oct-18 10:32:28

Good morning All. Definitely feeling colder now over the Mersey. Food shopping shortly with D2 when she arrives.

Nana3 Wed 24-Oct-18 10:21:58

Good morning all, it is certainly colder in Lancashire I am wearing my big coat. TerryBull I chickened out of my walk yesterday because of the cold wind.
Spending some time with dgc this afternoon.
Have a good day everyone.

Auntieflo Wed 24-Oct-18 10:01:18

Well good morning all. My first post has disappeared, into the blue, gone, never to be seen again. And it’s not even Halloween.
Taking some more crocheted poppies to Church this morning, for their November display.
Also returning a “Gruffalo” dress up costume, to my charity shop, as GD does not approve for GGS. (It was sweet).
Anyway, must get a wiggle on as DH is champing at the bit.
Have a good day Annie, and one and all.

TerriBull Wed 24-Oct-18 09:11:45

Good morning all, still quite nice weather here in the south east, although it's getting colder by the day. We had planned to drive down to West Wittering to walk along the beach today, but it's a bit too chilly I think, so we may go to a nice town like Arundel instead and have a mooch, anyway it's a day out!. Hope everyone has a good day.

Glad I came back to this thread,in error .

DoraMarr, good luck , hope you will get support whilst you recuperate x

Bore da Greyduster. ?

harrigran Wed 24-Oct-18 09:03:21

Good morning, it is bright but still very windy.
I slept late again because I had my ear plugs in.
I really need to go shopping today, the fridge is empty.

DoraMarr Wed 24-Oct-18 09:02:57

God morning Annie, Mick and everyone. Just taking a break from last minute cleaning and tidying before my little op tomorrow. I wish I didn’t leave things until the last minute! I have someone coming to see me who may be able to housekeep for me for the next few weeks while I recuperate.

MawBroon Wed 24-Oct-18 08:47:03

Annie of course you are not (“the most boring person etc”)
You are there for others even although you have your own sorrows to contend with.
Hunker down in the warm, enjoy GN, tv and radio and hang on in there flowers

Greyduster Wed 24-Oct-18 08:45:50

Bore da, Annie! You? Boring? Never!

Greyduster Wed 24-Oct-18 08:45:08

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Bright sunshine in South Yorkshire this morning. I woke up at four, in a lot of pain, so I expect it was payback for all the gardening yesterday. It will be fine once I’m up and moving around. We are going out for a walk today around Chatsworth Park and I don’t intend to waste the weather. Have a good day folks.

Anniebach Wed 24-Oct-18 08:41:07

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Not going anywhere, doing anything, seeing anyone, I am the most boring person I know

Hope everyone has a good day x

aggie Wed 24-Oct-18 08:39:13

NannyJan53 Wed 24-Oct-18 08:27:25

Good Morning from a dull and chilly Black Country.

Partner still working from home, hence getting up later.

Going to Wolverhampton today on the train to meet up with friends for lunch.

Enjoy your evenings out kitty and Maw*

Have a good day folks.

NfkDumpling Wed 24-Oct-18 08:23:52

Morning All

A clear, bright sky in the north of Norfolk. But decidedly chilly. We may go out for a short trip on the river today. Waiting to see how DH is when his body wakes up.

Gagagran Wed 24-Oct-18 08:22:15

Morning everyone - distinctly nippy here on the south coast too.

DH going out with bike club so I have a day to myself and plan a trip to the farm shop. It's choir tonight and more rehearsing for the December concert.

Enjoy your day all those with events planned and hope those with ailments are feeling better.

Alygran Wed 24-Oct-18 08:14:35

Good morning all.
Bright and breezy again in North Yorkshire. Pleased the injection has given you some relief Maw.
Went to the NMA in the spring with a group from my village. Loved it. I am sure it was stunning in the autumn.
Ironing and a little wander into town today. It is market day.
Off to the cinema this evening to see a Funny Girl.
Have a good day everyone.

Pittcity Wed 24-Oct-18 08:04:03

Good morning from sunny Colchester. I am still having to water garden pots it's been so dry here. Getting colder though.
Weekly Wednesday coffee meet up in town followed by a bit of shopping.

Marydoll Wed 24-Oct-18 07:57:48

Good morning all, it's pretty cold here in Glasgow.
We were planning to go out for lunch, but the tiler thinks he can come later. He is a witness in a court case and expects to be called early.
He worked late last night tiling the floor, which was great. The only downside was that as the adhesive hadn't dried, we couldn't get into the utility room where my medication and the kettle etc were. Forward planning USED to be my forte! grin
Our solution was to go out the conservatory, clamber over all the pots DH had piled up on the decking, cross the garden in the wind and rain and back in through the back door.
Maw, I'm glad you have found relief. Remember to rest that shoulder to allow the steroids to work. I frequently get steroid injections in my hands and I have eventually learned to do as I have been told. blush.
Have a good day everyone.

Gloomy grey but dry here in Letchworth this morning. Plan to redo my hanging baskets this morning, compost purchased yesterday for the job. Violas i bought two weeks ago and kept in greenhouse and they are now starting to flowers so need to repot them. After a spot of lunch i am meeting with a couple of friends for natter and a catch up.
Have a great day whatever you are doing everyone.smile

Mapleleaf Wed 24-Oct-18 07:51:04

Good morning.
It’s grey and chilly here in South Yorkshire, but at least the strong breeze appears to have calmed down.
Enjoy your night in Birmingham to see Motown, kitty. How exciting!
Enjoy your night out, too, Maw to see Manon.
I’d enjoy either of those outings! ?
DH and I are going to see Jools Holland next month, which I’m really looking forward to.
Glad the trip to the memorial arboretum was good, Blue45Sapphire.
Well, it’s general chores here today after gadding out for lunch with a friend yesterday.
Hope you all have a good day. ?

ninathenana Wed 24-Oct-18 07:45:30

Morning all.

Clear sky in Kent but the sun is not fully up.
I should have been having lunch with a friend but she has cancelled yet again. This happens all the time, always a good excuse but annoying.
So a lazy day, as I didn"t expect to be free.

ginny Wed 24-Oct-18 07:40:18

Good morning. Dull here in N. Bucks.
Glad the injection seems to have helped Maw.
I going to the monthly sewing day and hoping I can stay awake as I had a sleepless night. A couple of things on my mind . One worrying and the other sad.

Blue45Sapphire Wed 24-Oct-18 07:31:56

Good morning all, bit grey today in Northampton, but have hopefully just put the bedding in the washing machine. Still tired after busy day yesterday, but could I sleep last night? Probably overtired.
Lovely day spent with friends at the memorial arboretum; had lots of chat and catching up with family news. It was so good to meet up in such lovely surroundings. Very impressive place.
Will have a lazy morning, and then out for a 'health walk' this afternoon.

Can give you clearer picture as to weather in Brackley , its cold and grey.
