So grey and Autumnal here in the West Midlands, no sign of the sun breaking through.
I’ve just put a joint of pork into cook, having lots of veg and roast sweet potatoes plus managed to get some nice Bramley apples so fresh apple sauce, and not forgetting the sage and onion stuffing.
Apart from lunch and the clearing up that’s it for me today,
till Dragons Den this evening.

Hello Mary,

Eton Mess with raspberries and raspberry liqueur, 7th heaven I would think. It is DH’s favourite pud. ?

I have a little story about the place Eton which we visit regularly as it is in walking distance of Windsor.

Many years ago our Chris was one of about 15 children in the UK who won a 2 week stay at Eton College for an essay he had written. We were all very excited at this opportunity and arrived with all the other parents and children to settle our children in. We were directed to his bedroom and study. Now for the bad bit - it resembled a Victorian servant’s room with tatty wooden bed with little bedding on top. The wardrobe was a piece of torn dirty material in front of a metal rod. It could have been a prison cell it looked so dreadful.

I came away in tears that we had left him in such a place. We collected him 2 weeks later. He had had a brilliant time, as well as formal lessons they had a number of bbqs and parties. He loved every second. I must remind him to write about this in one of his books.

Hope Dr Kikdare has got you back on your feet?‍♀️

Love, Kate x
