I hear thunder

Ooh it’s raining

Ooh it’s stopped......

There’s a big black cloud forming just to the west of us, but no rain and it’s so hot and sticky it could be Hong Kong. No thunder and I doubt we’ll get rain.

I looked back at my diary last night and the last time we had rain (and not very much then) was the 5th of June. And it wasn’t very warm then either.

Just having a heavy downpour in Mid Norfolk, rumbles of thunder some lightening, still hot and sticky

Ooh it’s just started here. Seems fairly light but it’s lovely to smell the rain and hear the thunder.

Thunder then a pathetic amount of rain ?

One rumble then a louder rumble, large spots of rain which had stopped by the time I’d walked 20 paces. ?☔️ I wish

We had a thunderstorm with some rain at about 6 am. (Lincolnshire)

Well, we STILL haven't had any rain!

North Surrey here - started to cloud over about 4pm, a few, very few) spots of rain and distant rumble of thunder. Now 6.20, and have had a few short heavy showers, but currently very light rain. The air smells wonderful with scents from the garden, which is SO parched. I'm praying for a good downpour tonight, as we haven't had any rain for 7 weeks at least.

Here in South Herts we have had heavy rain since 5pm. It’s very welcome as we haven’t had any rain since 29th May. Still very stuffy though.

Just had a humdinger of a thunder storm. I'm surprised our trees are still standing the wind was so strong. Power cut for one hour and the drive is flooded.

Everything back to normal now, dogs have stopped shaking and the leccy is back on.

I can smell it here in Colchester, the sky has darkened and all the blinds were just sucked in and blown outwards by enormous pressure. I have been sweating for England today it's so humid.....where is the rain?

Dark as night at 8.30pm, heavy rain and distant thunder and lightening in Colchester. It seems so exotic and exciting!
