Hello Mick and all,

It is unbearably hot again in Nottingham. I've done 3 lots of washing, got it all on the line. I did a few errands, and I intend staying in until tonight when I'm going to watch a local band play in a pub.

Off to Scarborough tomorrow, for a few days

Off to visit DGD again. She is still poorly and DIL is working today. DS is not good at coping with illness?, so gran and papa will just drop in, as " we were just passing by".

Morning Mick, Morning All. Blue skies over our corner of Somerset. Temperature has dropped a bit here, breezy, so it’s comfortable. We’re off to the beach before the new holiday makers arrive then back home when it gets busy. We’re also avoiding the football but as ginny says I'm sure the cheers, or if I dare say it the groans will be audible.

Morning all. Hot and sunny here in Berks. Another hot, restless night. We are off volunteering in the church coffee shop this morning, so must be up and off soon-ish. Not a football fan, but I expect we will watch at least some of it. Good luck England. Have a lovely day one and all.

Good Morning....................... and it would seem this corner of West Wales is the only place looking slightly grey this morning!!!
However we are breathing a sigh of relief to just feel a little freshness in the air.......but everything is now looking so very parched.

At long last B.T realise we DO have a problem and it is not our machines BUT their connection......so an Engineer visits today.

Commiserations Maw........not a nice feeling when sleep is limited.

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Going to be very hot here today. GS is here for the weekend and we are hoping to get a swim in at the local pool before the big match if it is not too busy. Another lovely day in Oxfordshire, not much happening today, a brief foray to the supermarket and then I guess the football this afternoon.

Went to bed last night and forgot to close any doors and windows, including the conservatory, so House is nice and cool, luckily no one came in and wandered off with any heirlooms! Oops!

My second glass workshop this morning and the we are planning on a nice quiet , lazy weekend. Not something that often happens. Avoiding the football and tennis as much as possible although I’m sure we will hear the cheers if England score.

A wonderful, slightly hazy morning in the north of Norfolk although the sun is burning through and the forecast is for HOT.

DH announced that he’s going dragon fly hunting at a local reserve this morning. I’d love to go too but will chicken out as it’s a long walk through rough grass. Plus I think he could do with a bit of peace and quiet!

Should be doing some ironing in advance of our impending hols in the New Forest, but I suspect I will leave it to the last moment and put my feet up and watch the tennis and footie.

Morning all , after an overcast day yesterday it is back to blue skies and another hot day in Co Armagh . Washing machine thrashing away no plans for the weekend . I have been watching a youthful A T on re runs of Ground Force ,...... He seemed to get more than his fair share of rain
