Not such good news

Just been a newsflas - all 12 boys now out. Just the coach to rescue now. Fingers crossed all goes well for this final rescue.

Thanks Mapleleaf I have been news channel surfing all morning but missed the news when it came, so great to hear.

amazing but sad about the diver that died.

They are saying 30 minutes to an hour before all the drivers are all out so not totally all clear yet but is looking good.

So, so for the diver, but for the boys and their coach.
Is there such a thing as a 'hero' emoji for all their incredibly brave rescuers?

Great news! BBC reports that all the boys including Coach are out!! Four divers (one of them a doctor) remained with them through the night and are still in the cave. They are expected to come out next. So relieved and happy for everyone involved..... absolute heroes!

Oh thank goodness what a relief I ve been out this morning and the first thing I did was come on here to get the latest I m so relieved what a mammoth and wonderful rescue Now I can have a quiet few tears of joy and thankfulness xxx

What a relief - I did wonder if they would be there for months and didn't think they could survive that.

Now let's hope all the divers get out safely too - and they put a huge iron grid over the entrance to the cave.

Just heard an interview of a father of one of the British divers who was in the cave until the last and now the doctor and all divers are out
I had presumed they had chosen the divers for their experience and prowess but no, it was as simple as measuring their shoulder width

BlueBelle I was thinking that. One of them has an MBE which is not a particularly high reward given the number of rescues he had already been involved in. Someone who runs in circles fast becomes a sir and someone who saves lives either gets no recognition or a lower medal. There were apparently 7 British drivers there and they should all receive something.
There should be far fewer awards but those that are given should be more than someone just been good and successful at their job. These men aren't even doing this for a living.

I so agree Jaycee, they were all volunteers risking their lives should get the highest medals you can get

Shame the boys won't be able to get to the world cup but they are apparently going to go to Man. United instead when they are well enough.

I agree with awards comments. These men are heroes.
