I hope some of you more travelled Gransnetters can advise.
I have never been abroad on holiday. Never been on an aeroplane.
As a child we travelled by ship to South Africa to live there for a while and I went on holiday to Austria by coach once.
Now I yearn to go somewhere hot with a warm clear sea on my doorstep.

Next March or thereabouts would be ideal.

I have been thinking Malta or Cyprus. Malta because it has so much history and Cyprus...... well because it was the advert next to Malta in my Sunday paper.
Some years ago I had a work colleague who swore by Menorca.

I have mobility issues and can't do any walking.

After a look on the internet I'm frustrated by the sites and fearful of ending up in a right dump.

Any suggestions gratefully recieved, I hope to put a deposit down this week.
Thanks.

Thank you everyone.
I'll be looking up all of the wonderful suggestions. I'm like that, I'll go through them one by one and get a deposit down this week.
Plus all the advice. MS society forums, I hadn't known about them. I've had MS 16 years aprox.
Oh and insurance, I'll be sure to get the right cover.
thank you all.

Thanks Eleothan bad luck about the weather. I've been in March and November. warm enough to sit outside and even for some hardy souls to swim! In fact a bit hot at lunchtimes, needed to find some shade. The gardens are lovely.
But it isn't wheelchair friendly-much too hilly.

I’d echo the suggestions for Tenerife. I wouldn’t trust the weather anywhere else in the med if you’re looking for a guaranteed warm temperatures and hopefully lots of sun. We go every year jan/Feb time and the climate is lovely. The lower end of Las America’s is quite flat and there’s a lovely promenade which stretches for miles which is very mobility scooter friendly and there are lots of places which hire the scooters. We go self catering so I can’t recommend any hotels but I can certainly recommend the place.

We have stayed in Santa Tomas too. Can ask for room suitable on ground floor. Lovely area. beautuful sea local doctor was lovely. area beautiful. bus from airport not too long. I'm sure could get taxi. However it's a beach holiday really. Unless you do day trips. Nothing of interest in Santa Tomas.

The hotel we stayed in most was the Santo Tomas. Sol Menorca was good too. Oh and very importantly there is room under the bed to hide your jigsaw winterwhite ??

Just thought. Malaga town has a beautiful long beach. A lovely park walk and the old town is close with interesting history and art galleries - Picasso is accessible. Its quite flat and im sure you could hire mobility scooter. its a very short flight and journey from airport. Weather has always been good even in March. I love Malaga. would be nice to know how it goes.?
