Good Morning Everyone,
It looks like its the start of a very warm week here in brackley this morning, hoping to get a few things done today.
Mick

Good morning Mick and it is another sunny one isn’t it?
Flaming June is living up to its name for once.
I have either picked up a cold from littlest fella or (for the first time I can remember) have woken up with hay fever
Meeting a friend for coffee at our local nursery, is that wise?
But wishing you all a pleasant day ??? (atishoo!)

ninathenana Mon 25-Jun-18 06:26:48

Morning Mick and all who follow.

Clear blue sky and bright sunshine in Kent. As you say Mick the forecast is hot, hot, hot !!
Breckie in the garden for us, then a day of pottering.
Hope it's a good day for you all.

Good Morning Mick, Maw, Nina and everyone

Glorious morning again here on the south coast and forecast for more of the same all week. It's not humid either so very pleasant.

Chores today, hopefully before it gets too warm. I need to give the hydrangeas a drink - they are wilting with the lack of rain.

Enjoy the day folks! sunshine

Good morning all. I'm packing for our holiday in Italy today. Will need to ask a neighbour to water the garden because of the long heatwave promised.
Have a good day everyone.

Marydoll Mon 25-Jun-18 07:21:38

Good morning Mick and all, wall to wall sunshine here in Glasgow this morning.
We have DGD here today, so we are off down the Clyde coast to Troon with her. She loves the beach, but I HATE sand. I will have to compromise. grin
Maw, the pollen is so high just now. My DH is suffering badly and he has never had it in his life.
Have a good day everyone and I hope the op goes well, Yiayia
Nana, can you please sneak me in your suitcase, Italy is my favourite destination.

ginny Mon 25-Jun-18 07:22:45

Good morning.
Beautiful sunny day here in N. Bucks too.
Quick trip to local shops and then some tidying and planting in the garden. Dd3 and DGS here this afternoon .

Morning all from a hot and sunny North Leicestershire.

I was supposed to be meeting a gner for a coffee this morning but instead will be looking after Bertie who is recovering from his hospital stay yesterday.

aggie Mon 25-Jun-18 07:23:49

Morning all

MawBroon Mon 25-Jun-18 07:24:54

Oh Kittylester poor little Bertie. Good that he is home again though, wishing him and you all well. flowers

Marydoll Mon 25-Jun-18 07:27:16

Kitty, I was sorry to hear about Bertie, I saw the thread late last night.
Myself and my three children are all asthmatic and it is so worrying when wee ones are struggling to breathe.
My two year old DGD has just been diagnosed and needed prednisolone, so I can understand how worried you and your family are.
I do hope Bertie is on the mend, the high pollen won't be helping. flowers

NanKate Mon 25-Jun-18 07:47:40

Dear Mick and All.

Just back from a full on weekend with DS and his boys. The eldest 7 was ecstatic with the Football. ?

So sorry to hear just now about Bertie glad he us safely with you Kitty. Do you think you could get a replay of the footie for him today on BBC IPLayer ? I wonder if our Leo will be affected by the heat and pollen today?

Marydoll I recently bought some rather snazzy rubber beach shoes which I can wear if paddling, rather like crocs but a bit more covering. To be honest they are rather garish, the type that would suit Grayson Perry (no disrespect to GP).

Good Morning on another sizzling monday,

Absolutely beautiful weather without a cloud up above but sadly it is`nt all fun and pleasure for so many of you, just by reading here this morning I can see your Bertie suffering Kitty, whilst you seem to have family issues Marydoll.......and Maw having a possible dose of hayfever.
We know it ourselves with my DH and I am also having COPD problems.
Having gone for a little wander along our sea front we had to cut short the pleasure and head back home to a peaceful darkened room.
What a waste of such lovely days!
Wishing you and your DS well Yiayia

I hate to think how we will be like by the end of this so called "heatwave!!"

Hopefully you can all make the most of this Monday......and remainder of the week.

gillybob Mon 25-Jun-18 08:06:01

Morning all, it's very warm and sunny in Nottingham. I was getting ready for my Zumba class when a friend told me it's been cancelled. Damn...I'll have to do some boring chores instead.

Roast dinner (I don't fancy cooking it now though) and Zumba this evening.

harrigran Mon 25-Jun-18 08:31:07

Good morning from a sunny NE. I have a medical adviser visiting at lunchtime but after that I should be able to retire to the garden.
Yesterday we had the day to ourselves and I managed two hours under the parasol.
Best wishes to all with health problems.

Greyduster Mon 25-Jun-18 08:32:45

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I was awake at some ridiculous hour and slept fitfully since, so I am like a limp rag. Kitty I am glad to hear Bertie has been discharged and is feeling better. This weather must be a nightmare for him. GS is doing some sort of cycling speed trial at the local sports centre so we have to pick him up from school alater and get him there. Hope it has cooled down a bit by then!! Have a good day folks.

Pittcity Mon 25-Jun-18 08:36:31

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
Walking Netball this morning and DGS duty this afternoon.
Need to get going after this cuppa!

jenpax Mon 25-Jun-18 08:48:25

Morning from sunny Dorset? I am still on long term sick leave following my op in April, but now I feel a bit better I am realising what the retired life will be like when I eventually get to the ever receding state pension age??‍♀️. Today my eldest DD and I are going to have lunch on the beach and then look to get me a few new clothes as I lost so much weight after my op that nothing fits? I can think of worse ways of spending a day?

MawBroon Mon 25-Jun-18 08:52:01

I hope you are truly on the mend Jenpax and that you can enjoy the lovely weather in peaceful Dorset. Retirement has very definite advantages-particularly at 8.50 on a glorious Monday morning ??
