Good morning all x

Sunny here in SE Essex, off for brunch with Husband, DD and GS, then home for the football.

Have to put bouncy castle up for GS, and he will want to swim in hot tub then a leisurely BBQ.

I am managing with just 1 crutch at the moment, my foot and ankle really let me know when I have done to much, so still elevating it whilst on sofa. Novelty of doing nothing and being 'waited on' has definitely worn off!!!

A beautiful morning here, with hardly a cloud in the sky.
Great nephew stayed overnight last night which was lovely. He’s had his bacon sandwich for breakfast and now gone to B&Q with his uncle whilst I do a bit of sorting out and come on here to say “hello”. His Mum and Dad will call later to collect him.

Big disappointment - we got the day wrong! HMS Queen Elizabeth came into Portsmouth YESTERDAY. DH very contrite and at least he spotted it before we set off. Hey ho. There will be other occasions to go and watch her.

Oh what a shame Gaga. I do so love a bit of flag waving especially when a big ship is involved.

VERY LATE checking in. Been with our DS and two young GSs in Sussex for a wonderful birthday weekend for my now 44 year old. We all went on Saturday to a fab Brazilian restaurant at the Marina in Brighton. They have a delicious rolling buffet just help yourself, which our 7 and 5 year old GSs loved. Then the chefs come round with freshly BBQd chicken, sausage, sirloin steak, roasted pineapple on big skewers and you just select what you want. I think the buffet lunch was £13.55 per adult, half price for children and free for those 5 and under. Will def go back there however I wouldn’t recommend the bubblegum milk shake our 7 year old had. ?

Back home now for a couple of days before we go on another jaunt.

Sorry you didn’t sleep well Kitty I was awake at 5.00 we could have kept each other company, but now I see you were asleep then !
