Apart from health and happiness for my loved ones, my 3 wishes would be:
* To become a grandmother
* To move to the seaside/countryside
* To be a size 14 again

Not negative ladies, just read that back and sounds poor me, not meant just being honest but not meaning to bring the thread down!

1) For my DD to meet her soul mate and be happy and secure.
2) To be able to move house without all the angst and kerfuffle of actually doing it - just a flick of a fairy wand and it's done, we're all moved in to our perfect house, with everything in place!
3) For time to slow down so my grandchildren don't grow up quite as quickly as they seem to be doing! (And so my DH and I don't grow old quite as quickly either wink)

Of course good health for all my family and an end to war.

1) to win enough money on the lottery so I could pay off all my childrens mortgages and buy a posh retirement property for me and DH. Plus enough to make lots of first class flights to USA to see ES and GC. Can't cope with the stress and discomfort of economy anymore.
( this sounds a lot but it's only explaining what I would do with reasonably sized lottery win.

2) that every child has a happy childhood and never be abused or used in any way.

3) Housekeeping staff to keep house and garden in pristine condition and a fabulous cook.

1. No pain
2. OH not to have PD - bugger PD!
3. To be able to stay at home with my lovely view till the end.

Am thinking that wishing good health for all family is a given.

1. A big lottery win ( even though we never buy a ticket!) grin
2.To have a dog
3.To own a holiday home by the sea.

1) I would wish that my adult daughter would treat me with respect if not love.
2) I wish for her to get enough work to enable her to move out of my place and leave me in peace
3) I wish for enough money to feed & clothe myself & pay my bills for the time it takes for me to meet my maker

To be given a death button which, on pressed, would produce the most beautiful sleep ending in oblivion.

To have my husband back.

World Peace obviously.

coast35 Mon 11-Jun-18 10:11:25

I would wish to get my 44 year old son who died suddenly and unexpectedly in November 2016 back.
I would also wish that my only grandchild did not have Cystic Fibrosis. He is the light of my life.
I want to die before my husband or anyone else in my family because I don’t think I could cope with more grief.

Happyscotlass Mon 11-Jun-18 10:14:24

I'm in tears here.

1. For my daughter to be happy and enjoy her chosen career when she graduates.
2. For my DH and I to have a long and happy retirement together ❤.
3. For the world to be a happier place.

1. To be able to stay in my house instead of selling it.
2. To be able to stay in my house instead of selling it.
3. To be able to stay in my house instead of selling it.

inishowen Mon 11-Jun-18 10:39:46

1. To look ten years younger.
2. To stop being so shy.
3. To be able to do Pilates as well as the rest of the class.

I would like to win enough to pay off the mortgages for both our sons (even though we don't do the lottery);
I wish that our sons and their families would/could visit more often;
I wish that everyone's wishes on this thread so far could be granted with a wave of a wand.

grandmaz Mon 11-Jun-18 10:42:27

three wishes...

to have enough money to ensure that each of my children owns their own home, now...mortgage free; and to pay off anything they owe so that they aren't working themselves into the ground just to pay the bills.

to be able to sing like an angel and to be in a great band (yes I'm 66 but this is pure fantasy isn't it!)

to have just one more day with those I've lost, to tell them how much I still love and miss them and to hear their laughter and feel their warm hugs once more time.

Bathsheba Mon 11-Jun-18 10:46:38

Nannykay, annsixty, Menopaws, Luckygirl, lovebooks, coast, and all of you with such poignant yearns flowers

Apricity Mon 11-Jun-18 10:53:07

Belgravia, I'm with you on the singing voice or even the tiniest smidgin of musical talent. I too was behind the door when musical talent was handed out and am tone deaf and sound like a bagpipe drone on a a bad day. I love listening to music and usually just say that I'm a really terrific clapper.

annodomini Mon 11-Jun-18 10:59:29

I wish:
1. that the events of the past year hadn't happened
2. to be a great granny
3. for a non-invasive remedy for osteo-arthritis.

Nanny41 Mon 11-Jun-18 11:00:23

Health, happiness and successful lives for my four Grandchildren.

Enough money to be able to visit the UK and friends more often.

To see my Grandchildren having settled lives before I pop off.

GreenGran78 Mon 11-Jun-18 11:03:38

So many choices! Serious, or frivolous?

Serious - To see more of my baby GD, my daughter and 2 sons and all their partners, who live in Australia.
To meet my Grandparents, who all died before I was born, and find out more of our family history.
To have enough money to pay off their mortgages, and relieve all my family of future financial worries.

Frivolous - To be as slim and pretty as I was on my wedding day, but 8 inches taller!
To be able to walk into a shop, knowing that all the shoes would fit perfectly! I take size 3 1/2 extra wide fitting!
To never get tired, so that I can fit more into my remaining years before I (hopefully) drop in my tracks before becoming senile/crippled by old age!

So many of your wishes brought tears to my eyes, and make me appreciate how lucky I am to be healthy and (mostly) problem free. I hope that your wishes come true.

keffie Mon 11-Jun-18 11:06:53

1/ For my husband who passed away in March to be back here with me alive and well
2/ My daughter to meet Mr. Right
3/ For a granddaughter when our latest grandchild is born in December to our eldest son and DiL We have 3 grandsons and 3 sons so tailess would be lovely however will ofcourse be loved whichever sex it is

icanhandthemback Mon 11-Jun-18 11:15:26

I'd wish:
For the genetic make up of my family to be healthy rather than with the gene that causes them such pain.

To be blessed with finding a healthy lifestyle easy instead of it always being a chore; I love everything that's bad for me and hate exercise.

For my brother not to have had the mental health issues that took him away from us before he was 40 and, due to warring parents, I could get to know him as well as I should have done. My parents still can't be in the same area after 53 years apart!

grandMattie Mon 11-Jun-18 11:26:57

Like the others, apart from good health for ALL and contenment in my life: -

1. For my DSs to find lovely girls and have loads of children with them;
2. To visit the Galapagos/Azores;
3. To be a tall, willowy blonde again, like I was 20 years ago...

Coconut Mon 11-Jun-18 11:27:53

1. Pierce Brosnan
2. Liam Neeson
3. Mark Strong

In no particular order !!

GabriellaG Mon 11-Jun-18 11:43:56

GabriellaG Mon 11-Jun-18 11:48:50

Three wishes?
That all my 5 children would speak to each other (some don't)

To find the will to finish the book I started writing last year.

To buy a house in a typical Italian village.

nipsmum Mon 11-Jun-18 12:02:03

Be grateful for all the good things I have,
Don't look too far into the future and worry about it.
See my grandchildren growing up to be healthy confident adults.
