I had an unexpected last minute invite to attend the Colonel's Review - the dress rehearsal for Trooping the Colour as my nephew dropped out. It was really good, British pageantry at its best, with lovely weather.
After that I had a lovely Italian lunch with my DB and DSIL
Two things, but a big day out which I will long remember.

3. Despite my wearing a dental splint due to a horrible accident five weeks ago I can still enjoy a lovely cup of tea (albeit with a straw) and look forward to its removal next week.

1). Seeing my daughters perform in their Theatre groups’ production of The Wind In The Willows - both girls had lead singing parts and were excellent (yes I know I am biased!!) - as were the rest of the cast.
2). Waking up to another bright and breezy day with no rain ?.
3). The promise of being taken out for shopping and lunch - so I don’t have to struggle with public transport in the week.

Bought a bunch of Sweet Williams yesterday from Aldi of all places. Haven't seen any for a long time and was surprised at my own joy of finding them and looking forward to getting them home and into a vase.
