That's a relief

About a month ago, I had a routine blood test and, a couple of days later, a letter through the post, telling me not to be concerned, but asking me to make an appointment to see, or talk to, a doctor.

I made an appointment and talked to the newest GP in our practice rather than my lovely usual one. The GP was very kind said there were worrying results regarding my liver (he even mentioned liver scans) and, initially, they'd like to run the test again!

Off I went, had the test again and 2 days later got exactly the same letter. I've had to wait nearly 2 weeks to speak to him again (a combination of factors!)

That was today! A very breezy young doctor on the phone said, 'I though I'd let you know in person, as I expect you have been worried, that your test results are absolutely fine!

Phew!! sunshine

Good news - and kind considerate staff. All great!

I have had a couple of collapses with severe pain and on each occasion my liver function and amylase have gone slightly squiffy for a couple of weeks - I am seeing a gastro-enterologist this afternoon at 3. And yesterday I had a call from ENT offering me an urgent appointment for my hoarse voice at 2.20 today!

So I am getting a full service!! Let's hope they change my oil and remember to test my brakes!

Lucky, will you get to both? Let us know the outcomes.

Gd it sounds like good news for your DH. I hope left and right are working together.

The practice we go to had a reputation for being the best in town when we went there 40 years ago - we feel it still is. We are actually out of their catchment area but when we moved to this village they offered to let us stay. Thankfully!
