My ex bought me a pressure cooker for Christmas. He had broken the previous one whilst trying to make fishing bait. ?

In their defence, they would almost certainly be thrilled to receive a new drill, socket wrench set etc.

He bought me a battery operated foot file last Christmas! I was always complaining about rough skin on my feet. At least he listened.

Tells you he’s bringing you a present home with him and turns up with a box of slug pellets!

I thought the tin opener was a bit mean.
I am feeling over generous now, I bought my W a set of pans!

When my late DH presented me with a bouquet on my birthday 'unusual as he would normally forget it', I could not resist saying 'were these on special offer '
He never could resist a bargain and we would always have to make for the' specials' section first in any shop we visited.

1st xmas together, was promised something l really wanted visions of nightwear l had, ha me his mum & grandma got an old fashioned bag each, must have got a job lot,

Our romance seemed to have come to an end after the birth of our first child. He didn't bring the champagne or flowers into the hospital like the other dads did. His excuse was the daffodils I planted looked so nice he didn't want to spoil the display. Whilst drinking everyone else's champagne I was told that this was how it will be from now on and sadly they were right but still together after 45 years.

Now really fancying kippers for breakfast....

An ironing board cover, one Christmas - Grrrr

I had an elderly patient who was refusing to be discharged from hospital. I talked to her for a while to discover she was insistent that she would not go home to her husband. She had led an awful life with him but the last straw for her was that he had given her a pair of kippers for her birthday! We found he a wee sheltered house and she was in 7th heaven.

My ex gave me a very badly carved large wooden bowl shaped like a hand. I sawed off three of the fingers and gave it back to him!

His idea of an afternoon out (and he gets excited about it too) is a trip to B&Q

When you get home from work and he says ‘we have to move so I think we should get married’. ( and we did)

When he`s out for the day with his mates, rings up to say he`s bringing a present back...............and turns up with a new shopping bag.

When he brings home flowers and says, "Well I was getting some for my mum and they were so cheap I thought I might as well get some for you too." And that, believe it or not, was just a few months after we married
