I now know this is a funny question

I'm now 63 and also feel that I'm slowly falling apart. I was saying to OH earlier today that much as it's lovely him now being retired, we seem to spend so much time going to hospital appointments that it's getting beyond a joke.

I've had the problem with the fungal toe nail too, although was quite some years ago and used tea tree oil and it worked amazingly.

My current concern is my eyesight, something I've probably not paid enough attention to over the years. I knew I had at least 3 things wrong with my left eye but was told a couple of weeks ago that I possibly have a 'historical detached retina', something else to add to the growing list

Ive got those horrid brown rough senile warts too, on my back. My doc said they can be removed but actually if you give them a scrub with a rough exfoliating sponge every time you bath or shower they eventually peel off! It takes a while but it does work. Even my fifty year old daughter got a couple, but had hers frozen off.
I also have a skin tag on my neck which gets rubbed by necklines so will try the tea tree oil cure.

Lilyflower, go into a very dark room with a small bright torch, stand before a good mirror and shine torch under chin and hairs should show up brightly and easy to spot, don't forget the tweezers.

All of the above plus cellulite and a complete inability to loose weight.

I’ve always had tinnitus (thought it was what the Sound of Silence was) but it switched on even louder a couple of years back, so now I have two hearing aids as apparently my upper register hearing has gone. It does help a bit. Other than that the doctor said to put the radio on!

The toe next to each big toe has twisted round towards the big toe, At first I thought , that's strange I've only got half a toe nail but eventually realized that toes had twisted. Very sore at one time, but now I slather them with Sudocreme night and morning and seems to work.
Doc says it's probably arthritis.

We are not alone ladies, Prince Charles was quoted in The Times this week,whilst talking with someone of similar age, that "his bits we're falling off".
HRH declined to say which of the Royal bits had come adrift.

As we are only allowed a ten minute appointment at the doctors I think I need to make about three double ones so that I can go through everything! So many little niggles!

This thread has really cheered me up as I now know I am not the only one falling apart.
Especially as a 'nice' young woman from "Microsoft" just told me I was a stupid f*** and to go and suck my Sons d***.
I had a good laugh at her and she got really stroppy.

Anyone notice a slow, creeping up of various ailments. I have peripheral neuropathy which affects my feet & finger tips, getting progressively worse. Only positive for me is since taking up Pilates in the New Year (not a NY resolution) I have found some improvements in mobility, just wish it would help me to lose the "spare tyre" & lose some weight, ah well back to digging the garden

Thank you all for making me feel very fortunate. I'm 67 this year and apart from toe nails looking white (which I guess is a fungal thing) I'm OK really. Still working FT - and moaning about it, but semi retirement beckons; overweight but not obese (just); terrible at not exercising; eat healthily but drink too much. My skin is quite good, which is just as well as I can't be bothered with make up but using moisturiser has always been important. I'm not looking forward to these wart things, chin hairs, brown patches so maybe I'd better save all your useful tips. I sometimes can't believe I'm 66, when did that happen - I really don't think of myself as old, funny old thing life isn't it?

To wot - TMI means 'too much information' which basically means you've gone into too much detail, maybe on the yucky side.

Thickened waist, flabby tummy and a bunion - now where did that come from?
I've also got a 'senile wart' on my back but it's been there for a while. Dry heels which need slathering with hand cream. My chin has softened so I'm a bit 'jowly' but don't look like a bulldog - yet. Still, I'm alive which is more than could be said for some.

My skin has gone like an old deflated balloon, my eyes sunken and my nose grown bigger. Since my recent heart episode, ibeven walk like an old lady. It's nice being old though and not having to attempt to look good anymore.

I remember some wag at school saying our teacher had TB. When we said "oh, no" she said yes, t.ts on belly! She was a nice teacher. Had to laugh, though!

I'm glad I'm not the only 1 with funny toe nails, brown spots, moustache and rubber ring round middle, and I've also got wonderful looking feet now with a lovely big bunion!

There are various videos on U tube on how to get rid of brown patches on the face - mostly involving lemons. As I am basically lazy I jusy hide them when going out, using concealer,

I'm always cautious with any skin blemish as I had benign skin cancer on my scalp back in the 90's. Yesterday I was diagnosed with another. Lather up with sun cream Grans.

Since turning 60 I've had two op's for hernias & waiting for another. Had cataracts done 4x as first time didn't work. Since menopause my hair has gone curly to half way up the back of my head...the rest is straight as the proverbial. I have M.E & lymphoedema in both legs. I'm barrell shaped with boobs resting on my belly going South.?

Still good to be alive tho'

Oh yes! Warty things seem to be erupting.

Lilyflower, theres some ointment called Bag Balm....I kid you not. It's in a green tin and you can buy it from Amazon. It's really effective at those winter thumb cracks. It's about £8 and lasts for ages.

As I've got older my legs have got thinner and this makes my kneecaps look hideously enormous - like two half coconut shells stuck on the front of my legs!

Very unsightly.

In the winter deep and agonising cracks appear each side of my thumbnail. They clear up when the sun shines and my nails get as thick as they used to be.

Also, the 'witches' beard' is now a feature. White or dark wiry hairs grow on my chin and I pull them out with tweezers. However, my eyesight is now so hit-and-miss I sometimes have to rely on close family to tell me about them.

Oh the humiliation of growing old!

I seem to have more whiteheads on my nose than I ever had as a teenager. Don't get me started on facial hairs....!
