What's your vice?

Was talking to DH earlier about vices - that one thing we really know we shouldn't do/eat/drink but still do anyway - and it got me thinking about what mine is.

I eat healthy, have never smoked, try to have gentle daily exercise but I can't resist diet coke. I must drink about two cans a day! Oh, and a nice glass of chilled white wine at the weekends.

What are your vices?

This is my first time starting a discussion so I do hope I've posted this in the right place! smile

I remember someone asking me if I was concerned that my children were smoking (outside church where dad was the vicar) I
said but they are kind to old people - so don't be concerned about the "vices" - as long we are kind and honest

Mayonnaise - not the Light stuff. Love it on chips.
Butter - not margarine.
Humus and pitta bread.
Crossaints. (But only the freshly baked ones - not the limp prepackaged things).
Did I mention Mayonnaise?

Chocolate and audiobooks.

Ice cream. I make my own, full cream and very rich! Coffee rum & raisin is my current favourite.
Marzipan. I can polish off a whole block with ease.
Chocolate raisins.
White wine.
And Fabric. I have boxes of unused cottons, silks and linens - some that are far too beautiful to cut up - but I can't resist a pretty design. I will find a use for them one day.

Food wise it’s ginger biscuits.
Non-food, my vice is beautiful bed linen.
I have far more than I’ll ever need, but I can’t resist a beautiful new set of 400 tc sheets and pillow cases.

Rhubarb gin and tonic

Plants. I can always cram another 3 or 5 in.

Red wine (only 1 glass a night though)

Chocolate - any sort although I'm mostly favouring plain milk at the moment but some are far too sweet. I also used to eat Nutella straight from the jar and could get through a jar a week but find that too sweet now as well.

Plain Kettle crisps - have to buy the small bags or I'd eat a whole big bag at one sitting.

And the biggest vice of all was R Whites lemonade lollies but they've changed the recipe and the texture isn't the same so now it's Aldi's raspberry ones or Tescos Finest orange. Always have one after lunch.

Prosecco every time, Box sets, watch 'em like crazy, or it could be the Prosecco.

I'm with you Esspee and just love plants. Can't resist because I just don't want to. blush

Yoghurt covered raisins ...... but as they are from the local health food shop ... and have very few ingredients ... they must be alright .... really .... surely. I now buy the smallest bag they do and promise myself they will last a few days ... but they don't. confused hmm blush

Yarn, more yarn and even more. I panic if I am approaching the end of a project with none in for the next one.
Ice cold chocolate from the fridge. I am too ashamed to write down how much I can eat in one sitting, especially on the evenings when my husband is on nights. In my defence I don’t drink alcohol.
Walkers cheese and onion crisps.
Books, again I panic a bit if I’m down to the last one on my bedside table.
Handbags. I wouldn’t like to count how many I have, summer ones, winter ones, large, small, medium, work bags, evening bags, travelling bags, bags for going out with grandchildren, cross body, shoulder, tote, clutch, baskets for the beach trips, Kipling fabric bags, leather bags, pvc Cath Kidston bags, etc etc. But I do use them all in rotation

And various knitting bags of course!
