Oh ok I forgive you..welcome back

Marydoll Sun 03-Jun-18 23:01:56

? Thank you!

Menopaws Tue 05-Jun-18 21:31:28

I've made a new batch of poteen if anyone interested, it's quite fresh and isn't fermenting yet so good to go, so come and enjoy

lemongrove Tue 05-Jun-18 22:02:08

I missed you Mary in fact I couldn’t understand it, The Hans were still here and the till was still here, and yet you were missing.I even checked the dark recesses of the cellar.
Even Big Jim was here.
Now that you’ve done your porridge, welcome back to society where we will rehabilitate you by putting you first on the kitchen cleaning rota.....start now if you wouldn’t mind!

Marydoll Tue 05-Jun-18 23:16:27

It's well seen I've been "away"?. The kitchen is a disaster, yuk. ?
What on earth has been going on ??. In fact, I don't think I want to know!!
Sorry, ☹️I will have to use the hooch as cleaning fluid. It's the only thing strong enough to clean the unmentionables from the work surfaces.?

Menopaws Sun 10-Jun-18 18:03:14

Right it's Sunday night, surely an excuse to have a drinky before the dreaded Monday as some of us have to work, anyway who is around for a quick snifter? I've just got over the wedding on Friday and am up for another quick one

lemongrove Sun 10-Jun-18 18:09:41

I’m here now Meno after a day with young DGC I could certainly use a snifter (or three) so set ‘em up!?????

Cor, it ain’t half hot Mum, think I need a few icecubes down me cleavage.

Menopaws Sun 10-Jun-18 18:14:49

I swore I wouldn't drink again after excellent wedding Friday but Sunday night just screams for a glass of white so please join me Lemon and I will chuck a couple of ice cubes at you as necessary

GrannyGravy13 Sun 10-Jun-18 18:16:13

Laying on sofa with blasted foot elevated (long story) Husband in kitchen has opted to cook steak (with what I have no idea????) waiting for a re-fill of my glass of chilled organic Pinot Grigio (sounds posh but bought in Aldi) think I might have to hop out with my crutches to get my own ???‍♀️?‍♀️

Menopaws Sun 10-Jun-18 18:21:36

Granny gravy you have to moan a bit until himself hears you and brings a top up, don't stand up or he will never get it, cheers!

GrannyGravy13 Sun 10-Jun-18 18:37:25

Thank you menopaws have just been topped up.

When I cook we have at least 2 veggies and normally 3, Husband has just asked if I approve of his choice of 2, so I have agreed. For the last 3 days he has only provided 1 very small portion of veg to accompany dinner.

He is an exceptional meat / fish / sauce cook, but just doesn't do the potatoes, veg and sides.

Tomorrow will be a whole new ball game, as I shall be instructing him how to use the washing machine and sort the laundry!!!! It may be a very long day!!!!!!

Menopaws Sun 10-Jun-18 18:41:18

Don't give in, my mums wise words after a major op were.. as soon as you look as if you can do it they will stop helping.. so true, look after yourself GrannyGravy

Menopaws Sun 10-Jun-18 19:00:05

Now come on Argies the poteen won't last forever

Marydoll Sun 10-Jun-18 19:07:42

I think you'll find it has gone, Meno. You shouldn't have decanted it into the toilet cleaner bottle to prevent Chewy finding it. sad
Lemon said I had to do cleaning duties for all my misdemeanours. grin, so I used it to clean the lavy after Big Jim suffered a reaction to my homemade curry.
GrannyGravy, you will have to share your wine winewith us, or we won't let you play with.grin

Menopaws Sun 10-Jun-18 19:19:49

Curry Mary? I love a curry, bring some in please, Big Jim was always a wimp with anything spicy so would love the chance to sample yours

Marydoll Sun 10-Jun-18 19:47:36

Well the thing is Meno, I had lost my glasses and I can't see a thing without them.sad So I just put whatever I could find in the curry. I think I overdid the cabbage and liquorice. Well I think that was what I put in it.confused
The doctors are hopeful Big Jim will make a full recovery. A few weeks in ICU and he should be as right as rain. grin

Doodle Sun 10-Jun-18 20:14:05

Cabbage and liquorice my favourites ?. I'll have some marydoll my stomach can cope with any curry. Get some plated up better clear a path to the loo just in case grin

Marydoll Sun 10-Jun-18 20:20:28

We had better rip up some copies of old newspapers just in case, I think the Izal has run out.

Menopaws Sun 10-Jun-18 20:21:20

Marvellous. Cabbage and liquorice curry, that will clear out the tubes.

JaneD3 Sun 10-Jun-18 20:58:24

What do you mean the poteen’s all gone? Oh well here are two litres of my best rhubarb gin and some sloe gin too.

Marydoll Sun 10-Jun-18 21:22:07

That's a bit upmarket for our rough taste buds, Jane......but, "any port in a storm".?

Menopaws Sun 10-Jun-18 21:38:55

Thankyooooo! Jane

lemongrove Sun 10-Jun-18 21:57:32

Not sure I fancy that curry ( shudder) isn’t there any good plain food in the kitchen? Soop has been baking today and I believe there is a quiche in the fridge, although I must be careful taking it out, the last time I did that it fell on my foot and I had three broken toes!Soop doesn’t really ‘do’ pastry, but if we cut off all the edges, it should be ok.

lemongrove Sun 10-Jun-18 21:59:06

Does this boob tube and mini skirt make me look fat?
Am too hot ( in every way) !?

JaneD3 Sun 10-Jun-18 22:04:45

Lemon - YES!
