68 although in my head I still have the energy and vitality of a 40yr old, my body soon let’s me know I have limitations now. My only bugbear about getting older.

I was bought up short last year when a rather hefty transfer sum was queried by my Bank and one of the security questions I was asked was what age will you be next birthday? The answer was 77. I was pleased when the young man assured me I did not sound that old!

Well I had my 38 year old son when I was 18 ! I beat you gillybob - I had my 46 year old son when I was 17 grin - doesn't quite work out though as I'm 64 now but come Sept when he's 47 - gulp!

Marmight Sat 07-Apr-18 07:28:53

69 and holding.... In May I'll start working backwards. I'll be 69 for 2 years ?

Bellanonna Sat 07-Apr-18 07:30:45

77. Never had a problem with age.

Funnygran Sat 07-Apr-18 07:40:46

70 in October. Live each day is my motto since my sister died at 70 and my mum at 72. My parents were very cagey about their ages probably because my mum was three years older than my dad which she didn’t like. I remember finding her age in a birthday book and being horrified to learn she had just had her 50th. I didn’t think parents were that old and she certainly hadn’t had any big celebrations for it.

I wonder if any men will give us their ages? The 'ladies' in the op may put them off.

kittylester Sat 07-Apr-18 08:24:20

Not 'ladies' but 'lady'.

Marydoll Sat 07-Apr-18 08:25:21

63 in May, but 15 in my head.

So far, it looks as though I'm the oldest---coming up to 82 in July. I hope someone else comes up with a few more years or I'll feel really ancient. I retired last summer.

loopyloo Sat 07-Apr-18 08:46:45

Moneyboss, it's easy ! Just pick a place like Debenhams or M&S and say a date and time and see who turns up!

harrigran Sat 07-Apr-18 08:56:47

I will be 72 next month.

GrandmaMoira Sat 07-Apr-18 09:53:36

I'm 66. I must say I'm surprised there are no young grandmothers in their 40s on here.

Marmight Sat 07-Apr-18 10:25:16

Funnygran. My Mum was nearly 7 years older than my Dad. They never told me their ages and I found out by having a sneaky peak at their passports when I was about 12. I was quite shocked but at that moment I realised that my constant request for a sibling wasn't going to happen. They never mentioned the age gap to me. Probably didn't matter to them as it was a love match right to the end ♥️
