I can think of several badges people should wear. There's GOW- grumpy old woman or -GOM -grumpy old man. I'd quite like DAMT- don't annoy me today. Or for the younger ones it could be RH -rampant hormones, and for the parents of young children TTTT- to tired to talk. Everybody would probably qualify for some kind of badge, from H for hungover to NFG - not feeling great.

I’m presuming she has now reached the menopause, otherwise she wouldn’t have given it a minute’s thought like any self absorbed ‘sleb’. Ridiculous! I have HRT patches which I wear on my butt, perhaps I should wear them on my face now to alert people of my ‘ condition’ !!

Heavens no! And I didn't wear a red plastic ring when I had my period either, even although the Women's Lib tried to get us all to do so!

Agree with the sensible comments that medical help is available if the menopause, menstruation or pregnancy are troublesome and that otherwise it should be very much a woman's own business.

My first thought was if there were an M badge there should be an MM badge for the men as previously mentioned. Also a SC badge for those going through their second childhood!

For me the menopause was brought on by chemotherapy and 20 years on I still suffer with hot flushes and really bad night sweats. I don't need to wear a badge, if I am not have a hot flush - no-one needs to know, if I am having a hot flush everyone close by will know because they can feel the heat radiating off my body!

I never, ever wear badges which proclaim which political party I support or which causes I believe in. (Oh hang on, I wear a thumbs up emblem for the MNDA, but that's it). Who needs to know anyway? Luckily the menopause is just a memory now. Just jolly well get on with it, that's what I did.

I don't need a badge. The physiotherapist told me I have to use a walking stick. It's wonderful. Nobody comes too near, seats are given up for me, doors held open. Waived in front, it even stops the traffic. I can highly recommend it. Mine's shiny silver and covered in bright red poppies (Boots £29.99) so as not to be missed!
